Find activities that you can do that will help you to meet other people. Try to build friendships. Because friendships are actually some of the most rewarding relationships that you will ever have. You know why? There is no obligation. With a romantic relationship there’s an obligation to do certain things. And with family there’s an obligation there too because you are all related by blood. With a friendship someone is giving you their time and attention simply because they enjoy who you are. And when you have good friendships in your life you will never feel alone. Long-term goals, medium-term goals and short-term goals with DEADLINES. Once you start reaching those deadlines, the system becomes self-reinforcing. For example, twenty years ago, at the age of 30, I realized that women are not my goal but the financial independence is. Now, 20 years later, I have north of $600K in net worth and can retire to some tropical paradise anytime. Actually, I would be there last May already had this pandemic not interfered. Still, "working" from home, my net worth went up $100K this year, couldn't care less about losing my job at all. Now, would I exchange all that for the very best woman in the world? Hell no!

Volunteering has been a rewarding experience, especially with the elderly. They want friends, you probably want friends.

Some mgtows would be happy alone in a cabin in the woods.

I think most people need a sense of belonging and I think that is what you are mourning the way you talk about family.

I know it sounds cheesy, but open your heart and you will find people who will see you as family.

I'm white and have a black co-worker who is like my second mom. I drop in every Thanksgiving to give her a hug and talk with her relatives, wonderful people, also her cooking is the bomb.

Anyways what I'm saying is if I was just reserved and did the bare minimum for interaction I would have never had that sense of belonging.

Edit: I think one of those greek philosophers talks about different kinds of love: friendship, family, and romantic.

Somewhere along the way our society decided to elevate romance above other forms of love.

I find platonic love to be more fulfilling and maybe the truest sense of altruism

Women are the gatekeepers of family naturally. Men are either outsiders or permitted in. Women have a tremendously privileged position biologically. I felt that viscerally during my first breakup as a teenager. It's crazy to think how clearly I remember that a quarter century ago. That feeling of being rendered insignificant, orphaned, irrelevant. Over some train wreck of a high school tramp who broke up with me. A seriously low quality girl I later had to strongly encourage my friend to break up with after he got her pregnant. He didn't listen, he married her instead believing he was doing the honorable thing, she cheated on him, couldn't hold a job, self harmed, used hard drugs, disappeared for days at a time while he worked and raised their kids on his own, then for years has been repaying the government for the "welfare" payments she receives (poor people child support) and finally will be rid of her in a year when the younger one turns 18. Do I think about how I could have done something different to have made it work back then? Lol, nope. My friend, if a partner is what you seek, I wish you the best. She was not "the one". You can do better. What folks here will recommend is to work on yourself. That will benefit your life as a MGTOW or your life as a breeder. Listen to them. Then choose the path that's right for you. Seriously no judgment. Being a man is about owning your decisions and actions.

Do something to better yourself, increase your skills at something. Buy a motorcycle, ride a bicycle, walk, read etc. There is so much more to do besides women. The one thing I don't see anyone telling you is that what you're going through is still very fresh it took a lot of people here months if not years to get to the strength that they are now just like someone going to the gym lifting weights to get ripped. It's not something that happens in just a few weeks

yes you should find passions and hobbies and all that other stuff that everyone else is saying but you will still feel the way you do now for a little while because what happened to you is still very fresh and you're still recovering from it. So you can get where everyone else is but it will take time you won't just immediately stop caring about this person after you were with them for a long time and had genuine interest and love for them. It's going to take time for those wounds to heal

Me, I focus on working and my hobbies. Family too. Mostly I read and spend time writing if I have the time.

Writing is my hobby. Main hobby. I’m looking at getting into musical instruments again. I’m thinking of a Saxophone or maybe a trumpet. I enjoy jazz music.

I’ve also dabbled in foreign languages like Mandarin and Russian. Takes a lot of time but I’m working on clearing my schedule for them.

It’s all on you brother. What you want. For you. Because in the end the only constant in your life is you. How do you want it to be, trailing the shadows of people or standing tall on your own two feet.

For me, I refocus my goals and purpose. Before it was women and trying everything to net them because of conditioning to baby steps to self-reliance, true autonomy devoid of hate for women (I however am very indifferent to them) and financial success. Also hobbies and the promise to myself to be as strong as I am when I am 25-30 when I am in my 40s.

You have to understand that, romantic love is just another type of temporary relationship. Just like friends, colleagues, etc.

So, if you do not want to be lonely ever. Have a group of close friends, and relatives. Romantic relationships isn't a no, as long as the government isn't involved. (Marriage, cohabitation)...

Have a circle of social life, so even if one leaves, there are others to support you.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Keep associations pleasant and mutual. If you feel, you are the only one making 90% efforts in the relationship, then cut it off. (Doesn't matter if it's friendship, romantic relationship, or financial one)...

Give yourself the priority. Keep realistic goals and work to achieve them. At the same time, save up for bad times.

If you follow this, it will work wonders.
