Short of castration (be it chemical or physical) probably not. Sex drives are hard wired into us. We wouldn't be a species without it.

My brother is MGTOW. He's never had sex and he isn't interested in it either. I used to think he was asexual but he tells me he isn't. That he just trained his mind to not think about sex. If he got aroused he'd think of something else altogether. A problem, a game, a hobbie, anything. Over time his desires slowed more and more. To the point now that he gets legit surprised when he's aroused.

But no easy option. You have to work at it. Nothing in life is truly easy.

Don't get rid of your sex drive. Enjoy your sex drive and the energy that sexual energy gives you, just live on your own terms, as close and far as is possible. Removing your sex drive will adversely affect your happiness, gumption and pleasure in life.

The point of MGTOW is not to compromise what you want for pussy. If that means using porn, sex aids and sex workers to get off, so be it. All the more pleasure and fun for you. MGTOW is not about abandoning who and what you are, as a man. It's about embracing it.

This is a very good point and one that needs to be taken seriously. Id like to see this discussed more. We all agree that thinking with the big head is better, but to take actual steps to control libido is not usually talked about and everybody has opposing views. It's shocking when you realise how easily women control men through exploiting male libido and for women it's considered normal practice and fair play. Anytime a woman wants something from a man, there is an instigation of courtship rituals. If you watch old films from the 40's 50's 60's and 70's it was portrayed obviously, A woman needed a favour from a man and she would start fluttering her eyelashes and make full eye contact,men who complied were seen as simpletons, this never happens in modern films, a director would be criticized for objectifying women. Now the women in films just sleep with the men and don't ever need anything from the men. Blue pill men are no longer warned not to be exploited in media. The ability to control our libido and desire is real power, I would rather this power were in my control than someone else's.

Ummm... Much of your sex drive is rooted in Testosterone and a man without T is a depressed, meek, small shadow of himself without his T.

I have a high sex drive and it's just something I have to deal with.

I'd rather try to consult some Buddhist monks and learn how to deal with desire mentally than risk doing anything physical because there aren't any methods out there that wouldn't take away your energy, happiness, ambition etc.

I'm serious - Buddhism has some of the most advanced techniques and philosophy on how to see your desires and worldly attachments and how to detach from them.

There isn't anything you can do immediately which wouldn't end up destroying your life.

PS - You'd have to cut your testicles and not your penis, silly.

I get you brother. I also wish that it would go away sometimes. But the thing is, your sex drive can be channeled into productive things because the body is basically creating energy for you. So, while an asexual life would be freeing, i think it's good to pump the brakes for a second

Well, you are battling biological demands, which is very difficult to do. The best way would be to learn coping strategies to deal with those urges when they arise if it's something that is really bothering you, and honestly a good cognitive behavioral therapist is a perfectly good and advisable option.

If medication is a way to go, you could look at an SSRI antidepressant. (Like Buproprion for instance). A side effect of it is that it will reduce libido. So may be good to talk to your doctor about medication options.

Cutting off your penis would have probably little effect towards your goal, and massive medical problems.

I don't think you would really want to kill your sex drive if i told you how, alas there are these things called "monk berries" that have an androgenic (anti-testosterone) effect when taken by males, these are used by monks apparently to lower their sex drives. You're not going to die if the testosterone goes down a bit - and it will naturally go down through aging anyway.
