Last week I was at my son's baseball game. I only brought 1 folding camp chair, thinking my ex would bring one for her and my daughter. As it turns out, my ex only brought 1 as well.

My daughter comes over to me and says, "Sir, would you be a gentleman and let the lady sitteth down?" (In a fake Old English accent)

I told her (in my playful Old English accent as well), "No m'lady, you getteth no special treatment just for being a lady. Go sitteth on the bench."

As I'm unplugging, I'm seeing more and more often just how entitled my daughter is becoming and it's very disheartening.

I have a fear that she is hearing how she deserves to be entitled from everyone else in our culture and her 11 year old hamster is telling her how her dad is so mean because he doesn't give in to her entitlements.

How do you all fight against this cultural all consuming female entitlement of your daughters?
