Can you say covert contract? You want to do Salsa? Then you do Salsa. I took ballroom dancing with my wife, and that place was full of Single Beta dudes looking to impress non-existent women.

If you do anything in life it should be with the guise of improving your self. You'll impress her for 1 minute and then she'll ask "Why didn't you learn swing?".

Learn salsa because you want to have fun. Not to impress her. Doing things to impress her is beta thinking, seeking validation, unattractive.

Take classes alone if you want to learn. Heck, you can use it for dread. Or take classes with her because you see it as fun thing to do as a couple. But secretly doing it to "impress" her is the worse reason. Because then when she shit tests you about it and blames you for not knowing how to dance, you will get butt hurt.

Do you want to? Then fucking do it. Is it a good idea to research what the fuck your getting yourself into prior to getting into it, yes. That's called proper planning, gathering intelligence, then making an informed decision.

Youtube fucking basic Salsa moves and then practice them, then take your wife out.

Why in the fuck do you need MRP to have any input into that decision??????

I agree with the other posters on how you should think, but from a practical view I have to add this. Salsa dancing is really easy. My wife and I took lessons on salsa, meringue, and some other stuff that I forgot because it was country crap. I've never been a dancer and am not a very coordinated person. You should be able to figure out salsa without a lot of effort in the same class as her. Granted, you won't be doing the show-off kind of stuff but salsa dancing is really just memorizing a pattern and having your feet tap out that pattern. From there, you add on "flair" and if you want to develop your skills to a point where you can flip a woman around your neck in the air with skill you can do that over time. However, the basic steps of salsa should take you about an hour to get the hang of.

Also, when I took the class, they mixed the couples up through the whole thing so you get practice dancing with several partners. This is advantageous because you end up learning to adapt to many sizes and shapes of women and it helps you get more comfortable. So I'd encourage you to take a class, but go ahead and do it with your wife at the same time. If anything, it makes you look scared of her if you secretly take classes behind her back like that, instead of being a leader who has fun activities for you both to share in. Even if you don't really want to do it, you should sign up for let's say a month-long (weekly) introductory class so you can get a feel for it and broaden your horizons. Step outside your zone and try new things. If you hate it, never do it again, but at least you tried.

Take it if it's something you've always wanted to learn. For yourself. Because you just love to dance.

You do this for her or impressing her and she'll find something either repellent about it or wrong.

Single dude wants to up his ability to game at clubs? Makes sense.

Married guy wants to wow his wife and make her see him in a different light? <> learning secretly to dance.

Married guy takes dancing lessons with his wife for some fun activity=OK.

I'm considering taking salsa. But here's my idea. I learn how first without telling ~~her~~ mommy. Then take ~~her~~ mommy under the guise of learning with her. So I impress ~~her~~ mommy with being able to lead and have the upper hand. Then I can fuck ~~mommy~~ my wife.

Learn to dance because you want to, not because you are trying to impress ~~mommy~~ your wife. Your wife won't care that you learned something; she will care that you are out doing something for you that doesn't involve her and may involve other women.

And learn swing... Salsa is so fucking cliche.

This reminds me that about a year and a half ago (way before any RP action at all) I mentioned to my wife that I would like us to learn to Tango. She was against the idea saying that "it wasn't her style". I then suggested that maybe I should just find someone else to learn with. She went CRAZY at this suggestion. I'm not sure she has EVER reacted so strongly to me suggesting anything. So of course I dropped it like a good little Beta. I had totally forgotten about that until I read this post.

one way or another, I see Tango in my future.
