Can you imagine if a prosecutor described a 14 year old female rape victim as a "bombshell"? Absolutely appalling. I'm surprised at the guilty verdict.

"Tryst" is not an appropriate word to describe a 32-year-old woman sexually abusing a middle school student; it makes it sound like a mutually consensual, insignificant thing. Which makes it particularly ironic to come directly after the boy mentioned his distress

I do wonder about her sentence, since in this case she didn't plea guilty. In a lot of other cases of female sex offenders, the women plea guilty and get this ridiculous plea deal that let's them almost completely off the hook. Now that she plead not guilty but was convicted, there's no excuse to give her a pass

All the usual vocabulary in the article. Of course no mention of rape anywhere, just sex and trysts. I was however somewhat encouraged by the comments. Usually they are full claims that teenage boy raped by his teacher is “lucky” and somehow benefits from instant popularity and zero trauma. I scrolled through quite a few comments and saw none of this. Tiny bit of optimism there.
