There are 17% women in the Ukrainian army and so many more fighting right now, look at the pictures and videos, even babushkas are standing face to face with their guns. But all of that doesn't mean that it shouldn't be necessary at all, which the DuMb FeMiNiSTs have been saying all along. It's not the women causing the war, sending young russian boys to die, they are the one's crying on the phones, looking for them. Ukranian women standing strong in their homes, telling their relatives abroad that they will not leave, they'd rather die. The one's birthing the next generation in basements of hospitals are showing more bravery than most us will ever be able to. Is the obligatory draft of male population a good thing? Hell no, it's disgusting, but don't involve the "equal fights equal rights" shit here, what we have to talk about going further is no fights at all and there has been no war led by a woman in our recent history, no woman has birthed their sons to be meat for bullets.

Again I’m not saying that women fighting is a bad thing because it’s not. It’s a fantastic thing but honestly, Ukraine needs more troops and I don’t see why a single woman without kids couldn’t do her part in defending the country. It would be better if people aged 18-60 without children couldn’t leave the country so that for example single dads with kids could escape with their children.

I think ”equal fights, equal rights” fots perfectly here. I’m honestly so tired of feminists just cherry picking nice thing for women. I don’t blame them since everyone wants to have as good of a life as possible. Feminism is still bot equality but rather getting priveleges for womeb.

As I have said in other comments us young men are the ones who suffer here, not our moms. We get forced to be sent out to another country that we don’t even wanna invade to be used as cannon fodder. We are nothing but disposable trash as opposed to women.

Also if I was a Ukranian man (I’m 18 so the ban just barely affects me) is that I would get my mom to drive me out of the country by filling the trunk with our stuff and then hiding under all of it. The Ukranian troops don’t search the cars for men very thoroughly so it would almost certainly work. I’m only 18, I don’t wanna die yet. I’m not worth less than a 45yo woman with no kids. I’m young, I still have my life in front of me.

you are not hearing what im saying - the situation now is a result of toxic masculinity that makes women stay at home and makes men reckless, which is why it's 'normal' now to select only them to go to war, all of this is bad and should not be this way

no one's cherry picking anything, if there would be no wars to fight, no one would have to die, but as feminism rises, so do the number of women in the army, women have been begging to go into service all through both world wars and have been allowed to join armed forces officially only since the end of both, talking about most of the west

your last paragraph explains your way of thinking, not bashing kids or showing you any less respect because of your age and it also is quite pointless to say it, but you have to grow still, you will see things from all points of view if empathy and curiosity is used daily, and I have to use it now too and say that women should pay special attention to our men now and ask about their inner turmoils as I've tried to talk to my husband, we are in a neighboring country and have had the need to talk through our plans of either fight or escape

Zelensky has asked any person that wants to, from any country, go and join their troops, we will not be doing that, but at the same time i'm asking myself if I should, as heroic death is better than one from nuclear fallout if putler goes nuts

I do understand you and I understand that women have their struggles as well but I do believe that the balance in society isn't very good at the moment. Feminism is very strong and has gained so much popularity and as we know feminism almost excusively focuses on women's issues which there is no problem in. It does cause an imbalance tho in gender equality. Btw not every woman is a feminist. I actually enjoy being around women and my GF is the best thing I currently have.

I would say that women aren't viewed at as disposable in any way in our current society so I disagreee with that claim. War is heinous and I'm aware that women didn'ty force us young guys to go to war and I haven't said that but that doesn't chaneg the fact that we are seen as useless trash to use as meatshields.

If I'm a kid then how old are you? 18 isn't especially young. I'm alreayd an adult. Are you like 30 or even as old as my parents meaning 37?

edit: to clrify, I refuse to consider myself as uselss trash just becasue of the genitals i was born with. That's why I wil not join to show my opposition to sexism.

women are capable of the same atrocities and maybe truly are the ones that have started every war that has ever been, and used men as their puppets, but do you really believe that? most of the Ukrainian men at war now went themselves, and most men that join the military do it themselves - is it really voluntary if they are motivated by societal norms? no, but it's the norms and we have to address them all, not just the fact that you want women to be drafted as well, which solves nothing,, just shows that you hate women and defend the people that start wars

I wouldn't object if Ukraine wasn't forcibly conscripting young men into military aswell now or banning all men aged 18-60 from leaving the country, if an army is consisted of only men who have joined voluntarily or professional soldiers, I wouldn't have much problems as long as their sacrifices were not ignored which is what is happening now, male deaths are only being a statistic.

the russian troops on the other hand.. they are the faces of culprits in this war and all is coming down on their heads, definately isn't good for men as a whole to be seen as monsters, not joining the military at all is a good solution going forward, if there is no military, there will be no wars, but there are still a lot of men that think they enjoy running around with guns, and I have to come back to my previous point - it's the societal norms that motivate them, and those are what we, ordinary people, can work on

I don't think there is anything wrong with using guns as an entertainment tools as long as being careful and not hurting anyone, there are many women who are into guns aswell, it doesn't necessarily mean people who are into guns are into violence.
