Wow, what a show trial. When forced into a corner via a court controlled DNA test, she finally admits he was not the father. She seemed perfectly fine with the fact she had ruined his life and got him sent to prison for 5 years and made him pay for her child.

[–]zunnyzeke 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

Apparently they had received a paternity test that said it was 99.6% likely he was the father. All three of them are jointly suing that paternity test company for the false result now since it was basis of his imprisonment.

[–]PYROM4NI4C 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

She committed fraud submitting the guys name under the real fathers sample.

https://www.sleuthsayers.org/2014/01/fertility-fraud.html?m=1

[–]RickRollRizal 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Dang So that's why he lost when he and his "son" sued the facility.

[–]HerzogVonMartian 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

and she went to jail?

[–]TheSilverDerp13 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Nope, sadly she didn't.

[–]Popular-Surprise5696 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is the most sickening part. The fact she got away with it.

[–]Various_Roll_62091 point 1 year ago [recovered] | Copy Link

No......!

[–]Next-Albatross2536 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Not yet, but someone has to file a case against her. If Mr Menser doesn't who will?

[–]HerzogVonMartian 3 points4 points5 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's wild... I hate how the system is constantly abused by psychos.

You can sue people poor if you are rich, you can destroy people's lives by false accusations or even simpler "SWAT'ing"

[–]Automatic_Badger70861 point 1 year ago [recovered] | Copy Link

He has but the courts are stalling.

[–]Vast_Ad35071 point 1 year ago [recovered] | Copy Link

So he has finally pressed charges, but now it's just a waiting game? Sure as anything, they were quick to put his falsely accused butt behind bars quick as a flash but heaven forbid he gets prompt justice for himself. I really pray he has help and a good lawyer, because she hits me as one crafty 🐝 itch!

[–]Ok_Problem_1868 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

HA!! Not in America, baby!

[–]Various_Roll_62091 point 1 year ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Did she really...? May GOD have mercy on her...

[–]Then-Ball-16321 point 1 year ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You mean may god have mercy on him!

[–]Then-Rule42191 point 1 year ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I started to read the article you have linked, but the first few paragraphs had blatantly incorrect info so I've stopped reading it.  1) it was a Missouri lab, as that's where she resides, where they had their 12hour 'fling' and where he comes from but relocated to Florida and failed to return to court in Missouri in 1996 (?).  2) she wasn't a DNA Lab tech, she dealt with plasma not dna for a lab not connected with the DNA testing facility the court used.

These were facts given by both parties during the paternity court appearance

[–]Medical-Net91891 point 1 year ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Then why did she admit to KNOWING he was really not the father?

[–]rockinglif31 point 1 year ago [recovered] | Copy Link

That is not what she admitted in court. She was asked if she knew who the father was. That could mean that she had only slept with one other person and knows the father must be him.

[–]Various_Roll_62091 point 1 year ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I concur. She needs the full force ofnthe lawnto come down on her. To prevent other narcissistic women from ruining other men's lives...

[–]morgant13 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

She used the real father's DNA and submitted to lab under this guy's name!

[+]Practical-Type7120 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I can find any evidence for that where is it?

[–]PracticalContext2137 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

That was proved in the court, that the person never gave any dna test, so who did the dna test?? Must have been the real father.

[+]Practical-Type7120 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

But one was definitely done as they all sued the the lab which has documents and in it their is nothing about them saying one wasn't done, she either faked the test or a false positive actually happened but if he denies one was done it points to the former

[–]alteredrax 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She provided the "dna". The guy never did. If you watched the vid, she allegedly used a previous test done by Bill for a previous paternity test he did. I say allegedly cause she was the one who took that sample with the help of her DNA lab worker friends.

Notice her first reaction when Bill says that she should be in jail was to quickly say she didn't know anyone at the lab.

[+]Practical-Type7120 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But the lab could have just gone after the malicious worker and used that in their defence but that was never part of their legal defence

[–]AgencyinRepose 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No he said he didn't remember doing the test. Very different

[–]CH_Warrior89 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She admitted she knew who the father was and she had admitted she still spoke to him.

[–]Vegetable-Square-287 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Where did they get the fathers dna??????????

[–]Vegetable-Square-287 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She got it from the real father to send it making it a fraud of a sample.

[–]theRealSciGuy1 point 1 year ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Between her scummy legs. 🤣🤣🤣

[–]Competitive_Shake_78 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I heard it was the fact that ignored a court appearance and court-ordered child support for three years that actually got him locked up. Still reading up on this....

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (51 children) | Copy Link

She didn't deny being in a relationship with someone else but a DNA test said this dude was the father so she believed it. Most people do believe DNA results. That doesn't mean she lied, or tried ruin his life. It doesn't make her responsible for what happened to him.

[–]Salty_Ticket06 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (29 children) | Copy Link

But she did say she knew the real father didn't she therefore it makes total sense she lied

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link

She gets pregnant, there are 2 potential fathers, (which she didn't deny) the first one tested is a 99% DNA match. She believed the results of the DNA test.

So who did she lie to?

[–]sonatatheory99 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

Did you not watch the trial she said Manser is the father on live TV to the jury to the judge and thousands so watched the video. SHE LIED. She lied to everyone and get own son.

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

I watched her say that a DNA test said he was the father. I also watched her admit to being in a relationship with someone else. People just really need a villain, though..

[–]Beardfarmer44 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

Then why is everyone saying she submitted the actual fathers DNA to commit paternity fraud .

Are they making this up?

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago* (14 children) | Copy Link

People are quoting other comments or gossip sites, as fact.

The truth is he submitted his DNA in a previous paternity case. He failed to respond to this paternity case and the lab used the old DNA. A mistake was made and since he didn't bother to show up in court, to question the results, the court declared him the father.

A combination of factors led his incarceration, including human error in the lab, a flawed court system, and his own irresponsibility.

[–]Beardfarmer44 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Interesting, do you have a source for the part where they used his previous sample from a case that had nothing to do with this woman? Seems like a pretty hard mistake for the lab to make hence the speculation that she had a hand in it somehow.

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

https://casetext.com/case/sehr-v-lab-corp

From the lawsuit against the lab, filed jointly by the mother, son, and Manser.

[–]ibnibex 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Manser didn't submit a DNA test. So whatever this lab got was from someone else. That much was made clear in the show. All they had was mystery DNA. No address, no license picture, no social security number. None of it. There was no human error, this woman clearly got DNA from the father of the kid WHO SHE ADMITTED THAT SHE WAS IN CONTACT WITH. I can't believe that you're sitting here making comments without watching the fucking video. Dumbass.

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I watched the show and read the lawsuit. Inform yourself.

[–]ibnibex1 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

So you somehow believe that a lab genuinely submitted a test where there was no evidence of the potential father's ID? Not a Shred of identifying information? which, by the way, corroborates his claim that he never took that test? You're a complete idiot.

Reading a headline is different from comprehending the situation you fucking dork.

[–]leestegosaurus1 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Your failure to comprehend a TV show you watched doesn't exactly qualify you to comment on the subject.

Your personal attacks don't give you much more credit, either.

[–]ibnibex1 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Credit? With who? You?

[–]leestegosaurus1 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Anyone. Most people don't resort to name calling when they actually know what they're talking about.

[–]ibnibex1 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

God youre so fucking stupid.

[–]ibnibex1 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Credit? With who? You?

[–]Oomass1 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You’re an idiot

[–]eliashakansson 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But the initial DNA test turned up a positive test. That can only happen if the lab had the DNA of the real father. In other words she supplied the DNA from the real father (again, whom she knew) and that's how she got the positive test.

[–]AgencyinRepose 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's what I found too. I think that's why he only got 30k, because part of it was his own doing.

[–]BabaKoloft 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I’m sure the facility has a digital copy of the dna profile to determine if it was fraud or not. If it’s vastly different and just so happens to match the real fathers’ it’s pretty hard to argue contamination.

[–]RickRollRizal 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You missed the part where he says he did not submit to a DNA test, she got the sample from somewhere else and alluded that it came from him. It is implied that she did something because she works for a lab, hence her defense when the real results came out that she didn't know anyone in the lab that could tamper the results, despite being a lab worker herself.

He lost because he didn't show up in the hearing to contest the results and she won by default at that time .

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I didn't miss that. I just understood that his DNA was already on file at the same lab from a previous paternity case, in which he DID submit DNA. That was all laid out in the lawsuit they filed jointly against the lab.

Watching a TV show that was created for your entertainment isn't the best way to get your info.

[–]Best_Lynx22951 point 1 year ago [recovered] | Copy Link

r u an idiot ,the women used the real father's sample instead of manser ,and the sample owners info was not present in any of her evidence.Clearly, she framed manser.

[–]Automatic_Badger70861 point 1 year ago [recovered] | Copy Link

She actually knew somebody that worked at the lab and submitted the real father's DNA with manser's name on it because the other guy has been a bum his whole life and would never pay

[–]Gubernaculumisaword 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

It wasn’t a court controlled test, she submitted the alleged fathers dna in place of her son’s

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, that's not how it works. Points for creativity, though.

[–]Gubernaculumisaword 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It wasn’t a court controlled test the first time, meaning she could have submitted anything she had.

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

She didn't submit his DNA. What is so difficult to understand about that?

[–]eliashakansson 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There's literally only one way for the lab to turn up a positive DNA test as it relates to the paternity of Dylan, and that is for the real father's DNA to be in the sample. The alternative is that they somehow got a false positive.

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's literally not but okay.

[–]Ready_Possibility_19 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They pulled DNA from the freezer from another paternity case supposedly

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There were only two potential fathers. If it wasn't Manser, it was the other guy. How does that mean she lied?

[–]sonatatheory99 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Yes she most definitely lied she already knew who the real father was long before the trial in fact she said she was still in communication with the real father therefore she lied and falsely claimed Manser was the father. She knew Manser was not the father. She actively ruined his life and cost him 5 yrs in prison. What do you not understand.

[–]leestegosaurus 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

He went to jail for being irresponsible. He ignored his chance to go to court, and he ignored court ordered payments for 3 years.

[–]A-Cow-Who-Talks 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

What are you trying to get at? What chance? He had no chance, she had commit paternity fraud and had "evidence" even though it was fake, she didn't 'believe' the test, she specifically set it up to make it look the way she wanted to. She literally went out of her way to try and ruin his life. So she is fully responsible for his imprisonment. There is no way you can justify that and try to make it look like he was being 'irresponsible'. He shouldn't take responsibility for something that isn't his fault. The fact that your trying to defend this woman absolutely shocks me.

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

https://casetext.com/case/sehr-v-lab-corp

If you're going to speak on something with such confidence, at least get SOME of the facts right.

[–]Forntiter 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She still cheated on him. And knew that there was a potential other father. And still let him go to prison without having another dna test.

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

She didn't cheat on him but whatever but that's irrelevant.

She didn't let him go to prison. That wasn't up to her.

Why do you think it was on her to get another DNA test? She had no reason to question the first one.

[–]AwkwardNetwork746 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If he was responsible and went to court how would he challenge DNA proving him as the father? I don't think there is a law saying not showing up to court equals 5 years in prison so I doubt thats why he was sentenced to prison. He was sentenced to prison for not paying child support and DNA proved he was the father which it also would have done if he turned up in court since they somehow screwed it up. But ok, he was sentenced to prison for not showing up in court and the child support and paternity test had nothing to do with the case about child support you say he ignored.

[–]Best-Start97701 point 1 year ago [recovered] | Copy Link

So the problem for you is not that he s f*cked over by the process was that he didn't do what he needed to? Him not responsibly defending himself doesn't change the fact that someone false represented a DNA sample as his.

[–]leestegosaurus1 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

🫢 Awww Are you stalking me? That's so sweet and sad..

[–]PuzzledTouch8561 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

What happened to her?

[–]SSGSuperSyndra 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Accept in the linked article above your post where it was revealed she worked at the DNA lab and swapped the DNA

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Check the source. She worked at a plasma donation center. Never had access to his DNA or any involvement in the testing.

[–]HovercraftAble2467 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You clearly have issues or alternative motives bc if you actually think she’s innocent in this case then I question your judgement

[–]imaqdodger 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I mean the fact that the woman, man, and kid are filing a joint lawsuit against the lab kind of speaks for itself. You don't see the man suing the woman which would be the first instinct (well it would be mine at least) if he really thought the woman was guilty of wrongdoing.

[–]Best-Start97701 point 1 year ago [recovered] | Copy Link

The only way this could happen feasibly is if the lab had both their samples provided by her and mixed them up. Otherwise, she would have had to represent a sample that was not his as his.

So the real mystery is this: Did the lab have his sample as well?

[–]Alarming_Anything178 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Don’t go to jury duty

[–]HuckleberryStatus499 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

How could they do a DNA test without anything from Bill?

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

The lab had his DNA from a previous paternity case, regarding another child, by a different woman.

[–]TumbleweedLivid8092 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

So explain how, if they had his dna on hand, that it tested positive when it wasn’t his child? Your argument is flawed. If it were his dna from a previous case it wouldn’t have tested positive, unless they had the wrong dna from the start. So it is more than likely that she either submitted a false sample or the sample was switched from someone who had access to the lab. In either case she would be guilty, as no one else had the means or motive to commit the act.

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

False positives can occur when too few genetic markers are compared or when common markers (those shared by a large percent of the population) are compared.

[–]AwkwardNetwork746 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So basically, if you want to make someone the father you only test a small genetic markers that you know will make it positive.

[–]Hella50 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Correct false + do occur. However 1. No prior paternity was done for another child. In order to have alleged card on file

  1. HE NEVER submitted to a DNA test until Paternity court

  2. In 1995, DNA testing was young & would require BLOOD. SInce said DNA showed 99.67% paternity, logic has to dictate SHE drew blood from the ACTUAL FATHER & had a friend do the test conveniently

  3. Plasma is separated from BLOOD.

  4. On her alleged test result, there is No photo, No Signature, No one documented where sample was obtained. Furthermore supporting she set it all up

With these facts.... she should be investigated. As well as providing reparations

[–]daalnnii 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The DNA from her test was from the real father. That's how it came up a match. It isn't the labs fault. Mande days he never remembered taking the test. She knew who the father was then, submitted the real father's DNA, but labelled it Bill Manser

[–]Warboi 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed, the dna matched her son. The form was questionable as it didn’t have a written information of the alleged father only the claim by the mother. His mistake was not showing up and contesting the claim. Since the alleged sample was in the lab from a previous issue, it still didn’t have information concerning Mansur. Highly suspicious. Either the lab wrote it as positive with actually performing a test or she submitted a fraudulent sample. It would have been interesting to a the other father show up to Paternity Court. Mom didn’t raise an eyebrow after the discovery.

[–]ThatChapFromMumbai1 point 1 year ago [recovered] | Copy Link

She said that dhe knew who the father was. Your comment is highly un-intelligent once you consider that. She wanted to ruin his life clearly.

[–]Krixis64251 point 1 year ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Damn, comment was 2 years ago??.. Well anyway, What i can't seem to wrap my head around is, How did Miss sehr and the first DNA Lab legally test any "previously provided DNA evidence" that Manser may have provided previously when quite clearly he never consented to the test himself or never consented to the use of previously provided DNA, Wouldn't it be illegal to test previous DNA to a paternity test without consent from the DNA's host.

And what confuses me even more is the system. Being able to charge a fully grown human any kind of child support without any proper proof of biology, (as it was shown in the court trial manser vs sehr) "The one thing that is lacking in ms sehrs evidence is any kind of connection between the original DNA test and mr manser, His credentials weren't on the test, his picture, not even his name was attached to the DNA test. So how do you charge a man child support and how do you convict based on a DNA test without a persons name or information attached to said DNA test?.

[–]Direct_Security9573 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

And all whose want to burn this bitch are 100% right. His compensation for that was $30000 when she stole from him $36000, is it justice? She made test false positive cuz she worked in Labs where they did 1st test to take child support from father, she took from him $36000 and finally she setlled him in prison for 5 years when she knew who is the real father. And after that she dare to say something like "I didn't do any wrong". She should repay him that $36000, repay him 5 years in prison paying him doubled his annual income for every year thet he spent in prison and she should spend at least 5 years in prison to see what he felt. But in justice world he got only $30000 that even not repay him money that he spent for child support, so in that world we should make lynch on her socials.

People won't do their own research, there's literally a public record of the case where this guy, the mother, and the son sue the lab TOGETHER, yet people want to believe that she actually submitted the wrong DNA, or swapped the results, lol, as if the lab wouldn't have noticed this.

[–]wholesomkeanuchungus 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

She obviously wants to be on Bill’s side and find a mutual enemy to blame for this situation she knew who the father was the entire time. She basically lied for the past 20 years KNOWING who the actual father was this whole time and being perfectly fine with Bill’s life being ruined. Tens of thousands of dollars and 5 years of his life.

[–]Direct_Security9573 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

https://vimbuzz.com/was-elizabeth-sehr-charged/ and I can find more links if you wouldn't trust one

[–]imaqdodger 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, this website isn't a trustworthy source at all. Look at the first sentence:

Elizabeth Sehr worked as a DNA lab worker in 1995 when got pregnant and wanted to know the real father of her child, by so doing she submitted DNA evidence to the laboratory for a paternity test which later came that William Manser is the father of the child with a 99.6 percent match.

That has to be some of the worst grammar I've seen. Anyway, the man, woman, and kid are all suing the lab together. If she faked the results that lawsuit would be moot. Here's my source.

[–]Direct_Security9573 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Okay, I've found page of jugde cases and you're right but it don't explain that she knew real father and had contact with him. Maybe she didn't fraud but she should take any consequences. She knew real father and she allowed to he was thrown into prison for that she should pay him compensation or go to prison for same time that he spent.

[–]imaqdodger 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Well she said she knows the father, but she didn't say she knew he was the father. We don't have all the context besides what was shown in the TV show and in the lawsuit, but it is possible that she was sleeping with both men at the same time and asked Manser to do the DNA test instead of the other guy. When it came back 99.6% positive everyone (aside from Manser) just assumed it was correct.I think Manser said it was a one night stand or something so maybe she decided to stick with the other guy which is why she said she knows him.

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well said. Knowing the other guy and knowing he was the father are very different things.

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

False

[–]Centerline-photo 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is why there should be 3 samples taken from each potential parent and the child and given to 3 separate test sites. And the samples should all be collected by a 3rd party.

[–]DragonflyTime9497 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

There is no other way for a positive DNA match between samples unless the sample was substituted with the correct genetic material, so the results were correct in the first test, except that it wasn’t bill’s DNA submitted. So the logical conclusion is that only she could get the biological material from the actual father and named it after bill. That is straight up fraud and she should be jailed for the ruinous crime.

[–]Direct_Security9573 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yes thats how the 1st test was positive cause she worked in that LAB

[–]leestegosaurus 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She actually didn't.

[–]RickRollRizal 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Makes sense cause when the real results came up, she started defending herself that she didn't know anyone in the DNA lab, she worked in the plasma section.

[–]Direct_Security9573 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah, and it could explain how she knew the real father.

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Or she knew because she only had 2 partners at the time of conception.

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

There are actually other ways to get a false positive- cross contamination, mislabeled samples. The logical explanation is that the lab made a mistake because she DIDN'T submit his DNA.

[–]Basic_Wheel685 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Cross contamination or mislabeled containers? Still means that the real fathers DNA was in the lab at the time of testing, No mention of two separate male DNA samples being tested in the first test, neither in court documents or in the tv show. So how tf does this add up?

[–]leestegosaurus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You know that paternity court is not a real court, right? You don't have to participate. You think she voluntarily went on a show that would prove she committed fraud and open her up to civil and criminal cases? How does that add up?

Im just going to be honest with you buddy, your comments are patronizing at best. Don't think for one second that i haven't read up on this😂 i read the lawsuit against the original lab, i read the original court documents which are all available online and watched the 'paternity court' and also read up on this supposed 'homeless' lowlife, and from what i can tell, the whole thing doesn't make sense! So to argue one side or the other is inherently stupid, and i understand that you feel the need to defend someone in this but you are making yourself look just as stupid as all the people jumping on the 'she is the devil' bandwagon.

[–]divmonkey 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The real question is.. now... Did Mr. Manser followed a lawsuit against the woman who framed and imprisoned her for 5 years??

[–]littlejohn657 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

For those wondering, rather than jumping to conclusions about what happened, I looked up this case. Bill Manser, Elizabeth Sehr, and her son, Dylan Sehr, sued the laboratory that performed the initial paternity test. All three are represented by the same lawyer, suggesting that there is some degree of amiability between the three.

Bill said that they had a fling, Elizabeth said that it was more than that, and she did have the paternity test that she had done to prove he was the father. The lab said that they already had access to a DNA sample from Bill from an unrelated matter. So it seems that Elizabeth wasn't internationally lying or committing fraud (despite what some blogs say).

If you're interested, there was a Missouri court case on this in which the lab's motions to strike/dismiss the complaints in the lawsuit were dismissed and the case proceeded. I found some other stuff to suggest that a settlement was reached through alternative dispute resolution, but I don't have specifics. The court case I mentioned is Sehr v. Lab. Corp. of Am. Holdings, No. 4:15CV1436 RLW (E.D. Mo. Jun. 23, 2016).

[–]Aggressive_Bad41321 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Bill didn't know he wasn't the father until this tv shows episode taped.... so as far as he knew... his girl has a child, there's a DNA test result confirming Bill is the father of that child, he ignores court ordered child support and hearings, ends up in prison and with wage garnishment upon release......where in this journey did he think he needed to ring the alarm and actually go to court to correct this disaster? Did he learn of an affair? Did he know of one the whole time? Did the real father contact him? Did the lab contact someone? Why after all these years is it coming to light that despite his unwillingness to partake in the courts ruling, he has a magical trust in the justice system to fight?

I’m willing to bet the DNA Sehr used was from the original father. Cannot believe he never filed suit against her. That is crazy.

[–]Loss-for-the-moon1 point 1 year ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Well in my perspective, I guess Bill Manser did not want the child to be motherless. He totally said sorry to the child about what happened. I mean mother and son relationship won’t be strained if it is truly the labcorp who made the mistake. And also I don’t think the mother has the means to pay off $36,000. They just sue the lab that can pay instead. Maybe the court hearings are there as “proof” that she did not make a “mistake” but who knows what is the true story since we are not involved. I still do believe the woman in question is at fault and manipulated b*tch. She did not even consider that the other guy is the father. Like WTH lady. You only took a paternity test from the competent man, not the incompetent man’s??

The only thing I found was they all sued the lab and she's acting as one of the victims. But they lost, I think in part since the lab did all the tests correctly, it was the woman who probably submitted the real dad's sperm and labeled it as her ex's sample.

[–]indrgamer 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She probably sued them to make it seem like she didn't knowingly give the wrong specimen under the wrong the name, when she clearly did. I think she should be serving time wtf

You don’t submit sperm for DNA testing though. They do cheek swabs, back then they may have also done blood tests.

[–]RickRollRizal 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I stand corrected, I thought they used a sperm sample cause the woman said they took it from the fridge. I was reading some youtube comments that surmised the guy was a sperm donor or something like that

[–]bittersweetking32 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

It’s funny they’re trying to sue the company when the woman is the one who clearly forged something. Either sending in the real fathers DNA claiming it was Bills or something of the sort. If he was indigent like he says she wasn’t really picking breadwinners so maybe she thought he had more money to go after. Then going after the DNA testing company is an obvious money grab. The woman has no money so why sue her she’s not gonna give you anything to profit off of, so they take down the only person with money in the situation and try to find some relief. They probably had to dismiss the claim without a settlement simply because she gave the company enough evidence to seed doubt that she was at fault and not them. I’m assuming that’s why we don’t hear anything about it now. Simply saying “yes, I know who the father is, and still communicate with him” is enough to completely put everything on her.

[–]RickRollRizal 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Because the guy is still legally the father. That's the sad part, he can't be taken off the certificate if the real father won't show up.

[–]indrgamer 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Are you stupid or what, he WAS the legal father, he is now not the legal father as proven by the DNA test

[–]RickRollRizal 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Take a chill pill. Removing yourself from a birth certificate is next to impossible if the real father doesn't show up and put himself on that birth certificate. It's not that easy cause family courts in USA is incentivized to put someone in the birth cert and for the legal father to continue paying child support. Cause the courts shaves a % of the payments that are then funneled into the judges pension fund.

So, unless if Bill got Elizabeth to contact the real father and put him in the birth cert, he's still legally the father.

[–]indrgamer 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That is not true at all. So, what you're basically saying is he is still the legal father when the court verdict proves he is not the legal father. That birth certificate can be and should be changed. I can somewhat understand that demon woman escaping and not serving time for her crimes. Women have it easier but I'm pretty sure he is not the legal father any longer. The law doesn't work that way. He can get it changed.

[–]RickRollRizal 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

He can get it changed but it won't be easy. You think Bill is the only one with this problem? He's legally on the hook especially if he signed the birth certificate. The state will recognize whoever is on the certificate and most states if not all, will only change it if the bio father shows up.

[–]Mehracles 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He never signed the birth certificate. She went after him for money on a paternity suit when the kid was 9. He got jailed when the kid was 12. She filled out the form, he never even knew she was pregnant.

[–]RickRollRizal 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

also, don't under estimate the lengths a petty woman would go through. if she didn't sue Bill, it would cast doubt on her story about Dylan's paternity. I've seen women burn everything just to support a lie.

[–]indrgamer 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

EXACTLY! She admitted that in the end, then why didn't the authorities pursue this further, she should be behind bars right now.

[–]Chewiedad 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There are so many rules that will make it next to impossible for that man to get any justice from the monster bitch, but I would find it hysterical to see the state charge the whore for the price of the man's incarceration.

[–]ShogunJim90 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

So the 3 of them decided to sue LabCorp, which was stupid because we all know the lab didn't make a mistake, the mother just sent in a sample from the real father and that's it. For those wondering, the case was dismissed with prejudice. Since the fraud happened 19 years ago, it would be tricky for the state to prosecute her. In the end her relationship with her son is ruined and the internet hates her. She's probably getting tons of grief from people in her hometown too.

Now what I am wondering is could Bill Manser sue the state for being imprisoned under false pretense? I am really not sure because I am no legal eagle, but also because he did commit the crime for which he went to jail ; not paying child support. Had he paid and then done the correct thing to prove he's not the father he would not have served any time. I am not sure and if someone knows please let me know.

[–]QueridaJaneDoe 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think it was easier to sue lapcorp because their test results didnt provide any procedural info about how they obtained any dna sample from him. Usually these tests have to have a record of how the testing was performed, where, when, what materials were used etc. Even if the person requesting testing doesnt have this info it should be on file as per regular scientific protocol you would perform for expiriments and testing. So because it was missing company couldnt really fight against Sehr. Which sucks bevause I'd love to see her serve time for this.

[–]rbrockway[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I can't speak to this particular case but maybe he couldn't pay. A lot of men fall behind despite their best efforts.

Among people who pay child support women have a higher default rate than men. Women, however, are rarely imprisoned for it.

[–]Mehracles 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The court should never have accepted a result where the father had not submitted a sample himself before making a judgement. He should have a case against the state.
