Honestly, 'sausage party' ranks so low on my misandry radar that it doesn't even register as sexism. I guess you can interpret it as sexism if you want to, but for the most part it's just a cute way of saying 'lot's of men'. The feminists have developed this hypersensitivity to anything that could be construed as misogynist. We shouldn't become their male counterparts.

Yes, it's a crude way of saying "lots of men" but what is wrong with a male majority? Adding a negative skew to any particular circle, whether it's reddit, gaming or any tech industries, because it is primarily male(despite the fact that it is inviting to women) is sexism and it is misandry. It is a form of hatred or resentment against men, or a biased predisposition towards women. It's not about the word that is being used but rather the meaning behind the word and the intent. It wouldn't even be that bad if this was said in the context of sexual attraction, since there's nothing wrong with someone being predisposed to surround themselves with people they are attracted to, but this was simply said out of spite or contempt.

She is wrong, but I don't think she's hypocritical in this instance. I would guess in her world view, a low representation in the tech industry is an indication of discrimination or sexism, so using a mild derogatory term is justified. If I'm correct in my assumption about her beliefs, she's factually wrong, but not hypocritical.

I'm not posting this because I am hypersensitive about it. Nor do I believe most people here are.
I'm posting it because obviously she is hypersensitive about sexism against women, but using a term that refers to the sexual organ to describe lots of men is very hypocritical of her.
It's not hypocritical, it's bigoted. In the world view of most feminists, males are privileged, so sexism against men is impossible, justified or just not a very big deal, whereas sexism against women perpetuates The Patriarchy and is therefore much worse.

Obviously in America it does. It's just that that exchange went as follows:
You lynched them.

I wasn't even referring to race.

I was going by the definition, not the connotations.
Fine then, race and gender.
Lynching isn't the word I would have used. For one, you kind of need a lynch mob for that. And from the sounds of things event staff were pretty much going by the policy of "inappropriate statements are inappropriate".
In any case, while reporting things you think are wrong is perfectly fine, all that takes is a word in the right ear. Between event staff (in this case), HR, and corporate officers, the system is more than capable of responding. There comes a point at which all your outrage serves no more purpose than to direct attention at you and cow those around you. That social control is certainly a feature shared by lynching, and in that sense it wasn't poor usage.
It's irrelevant whether lynching has racist connotations in America. It obviously was not used in that context in that conversation. I utterly despise it when people try to pull a move like that. "I'm Black. Has anyone in your family ever encountered lynching?" What kind of low life has to resort to ridiculous victim-by-proxy logic like that?

The problem is that males built the tech world and now women want a piece of the action but, being females, they have to change the environment to suit them rather than just integrating themselves into the existing world.
Frankly, if women don't want to be in the tech world because they don't like the atmosphere, then that's a good thing. It's one less idiot whose feelings have to be catered too...
