The vast majority of modern Western women are not marriage material anymore. The family court laws encourage women to divorce and ruin men.

You can get cheated on easily and it does not matter in a no fault divorce state. Marriage vows are worthless as there are no consequences of breaking them.

Quite the contrary, women divorcing is celebrated: go girl go, divorce, don't put effort into a relationship, you deserve better, find your true happiness.

Compare the alimony men give to women vs the alimony women give to men. Similarly look at which sex is likely to be awarded kids or get the house.

Women file for divorce more than men, so the relationship is more often ending when the woman wants it to end, not the man. Of course this relates to the above point: women get more out of divorce than men.

Compare now many women reduce work after marriage compared to men. Men are expected to be providers so husbands have far less choice in work vs home than wives do.

P.S. I explained in a previous post how the idea marriage improves health is a correlation fallacy. Unhealthy men and men who died young are less likely to be married creating a correlation between health and marriage. It doesn’t follow marriage causes better health.

Marriage in Iran is slavery. Men in Iran owe large sums of money to women because of their gender. The woman is always victorious because of these debts and the family court, and in the family court, even if the woman is betrayed, it is the woman who wins. Because the man's money and property are legally appropriated and the man's whatever he does for the rest of his life is confiscated as these debts for the woman. Of course, you women do not want to accept, but Iranian marriage deals the biggest blow to men.

Divorce can be bad because family court is institutionally sexist against men.

An unhappy marriage can obviously be bad. I think I've seen pop research studies about cardiovascular health and marital satisfaction, for example. But you don't really need a study to tell you that an unhappy marriage is a bad thing. And that many men end up trapped because divorce is even worse.

Then you have things like nagging. And statistically speaking, the wife controls most aspects of the marriage.

But a good marriage is obviously better than being single.

I think a lot of people just don't want to flip the coin to see where they'll land. We always assume we'll be lucky and in a happy marriage, but statistically speaking, how many men describe their marriages as happy? I think well under half, right?

I'm not anti-marriage or anything, I'm just throwing some things out there for you. I have some studies for some of these points. Like who controls relationships, and how family court is biased, especially when it comes to custody. Others are probably searchable online.

Its about the 50/80/90.

50% of marriages end in divorce.

80% of divorces are initiated by the laaadeeeee (Bill Burr voice).

90% of alimony goes from man to woman.

Any guy with an IQ of a peanut will look at this and will resort to just fucking someone for a while and then moving on when she brings up "what are we" and "where is this going?". Then we move onto the next one and repeat the cycle.

Other routes for ample protection is a vasectomy to avoid being baby trapped or just saving up to see hookers, which are often cheaper than a girlfriend or wife.
