Hello, I'm 16 and my parents never got me circumcised because my father and other male family members are not cut. I'm kinda confused on why people would want to get their kids cut. I know some women find it better as they think it "looks" more appealing to the eyes. I also know that the tip is extremely sensitive so if they cut the skin wouldn't the tip just be touching their boxers and legs all day? wouldn't that feel uncomfortable for a while? and after getting used to it you wouldn't feel it as much so.... doesn't that mean you've lost some of the feelings?

My question is do you think circumcision is worth it? I came to ask this because I saw some old tiktoks about healthy kids dying because their parents decided it was a good idea to get them circumcised.

Also I noticed that in America it's kinda like you're praised if you're circumcised. It's not about religious beliefs or culture in America. It's more of "I see a lot of men doing it so you have to do it as well"

Some say it's about hygiene but I've never had a problem with it since I wash it everyday. I also understand that some fathers are guilty since they've never taught their sons how to take care of themselves and wash their penis properly so they end up getting infections.
