I'm perfectly willing to disagree with others within the Men's Rights Movement, and in fact, I think it's important to do so. I've noticed something recently, however. Making any sort of pro-male infant circumcision argument results in massive downvotes, a sign of groupthink.

This is exactly what feminists do. When someone posts something that doesn't go along with the narrative, they all go and downvote that controversial comment to get it marked as spam and hidden so others can't see it. That's exactly what I have seen when making pro-MIC arguments.

Take a look at this: http://np.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/2stx2d/the_real_reason_youre_circumcised/

You'll see that my comment (as of now) has a score of -14 with 51 children also being hidden (a form of Reddit censorship). If you read through you'll see that many of my comments that actually add something to the conversation have quite the number of downvotes, but yet some comments that literally have nothing to offer the conversation get a good amount of upvotes. This is a sign that some people are going through to downvote every comment I made while upvoting every comment the opposition made for the sole purpose of what our stances are, and not whether we are posting spam or not.

Groupthink is one of the more dangerous things that can hijack a movement. Once it gets rolling, it is very hard to change any sort of narrative. It is very hard to have any sort of conversation when groupthink gets rolling as well. Worse yet, the censorship tends to become worse and worse. The feminist movement is a great example of groupthink, and how it negatively impacts a movement.

I personally don't get my feelings hurt over a downvote, but I am seriously worried about this groupthink that is starting to develop within the MRM. If you are one of the people that is performing groupthink, please reconsider your position.
