People assume it's the man's responsibility to do hard labor and even life threatening work, as if the notion that the work is available so it must be 1) their own fault they find themselves in the situation that requires this kind of effort, and 2) something they should be grateful for, an opportunity to earn the money.

We cant cry and get zero empathy. We have to mask our entire life basicly. Women can stay in a childhood state their entire life and cry in public any time they like.

This is the biggest one that over Shadows all others and everything stems from this basic one, except maybe forced military service wich just proves we are seen as disposable tools to be used efficiently for society.

Nora Vincent, a lesbian feminist lived as a man named Ned (and looked very convincing too) for 18 months as research for her book about life as a man called "Self Made Man". Like most women, she was convinced life as a man was easy, that life as a woman was so much harder. But after living 18 months in a man's shoes, with man friends, going on dates with women, living and working as a man, she said that men don't have it any easier than women at all. Not one bit. Their lives are every bit as hard as women's, but men's & women's lives are hard in very different ways. I'll repeat that: EQUALLY hard, but in different ways. Neither gender has it any easier than the other.

She loved women & thought they were better, kinder, more empathetic people than men, & was shocked to discover how badly she was treated by other women as a man. As a man she was denied any empathy whatsoever, & was taken advantage of. Said she had absolutely no idea women could be such truly nasty people until she dealt with them as a man. When she revealed herself to a be a woman at the end of one date, her date then apologized & said she'd have never treated her that way if she knew she wasn't a man.

Of course men can be nasty too. And they can be condescending. Can look down on women too. They often don't listen to women's opinions like other men's, women's opinions don't carry the same weight to many of them. Men are FAR from perfect also.

Each gender has their own whole plethora of different issues and difficulties to deal with.

But someone who actually knows from personal experience in ways most of us never will, said after living both existences herself that life is EQUALLY HARD for BOTH GENDERS, so I'll take the personally lived experiences of a knowledgeable authority over the inexperienced OPINIONS of people who don't actually KNOW.

Now, if you want a few bullet points about mens issues (we've heard about women's issues for half a century already):

Men get 60% longer prison sentences than women for the same crime. Even when married criminal couples are convicted for the same crime and are equally guilty, men typically get longer sentences anyway. For a crime the average woman gets 4 years for, the average man gets 10 years in prison. Courts don't value the time they rob from men's lives the way they do from women's lives.

42% of victims of couple's abuse are men but there are between 2500-3000 shelters for female victims & only 2 in the entire United States for men. And most women's shelters don't take boys above 12-13 years of age. So if a 14 year old boy is escaping abuse & needs one, shelters won't take him, but girls & women of any age have shelters available. And although they make up 42% of the victims, men victims get less than 1/1000 of the resources women victims get.

If there a war & the draft is reinstated, men have to give up their freedom, give up school, career, family, & are made slaves of the state with no civil rights any longer to march into minefields or enemy fire if their masters order them to, with no right to refuse. They must remain slaves until the state gives them back their freedom. 98% of all Americans who die in wars are men.

92.3% percent of all job related fatalities are men. When half a decade ago job fatalities went down, since almost all job fatalities are men, when men die less, the ration of women to men dying in the workplace increases. But NO additional women were dying, just fewer men. When 11 men are dying to every woman instead of 12 men, making the ratio of women dying increase PERCENTAGE wise, feminists treated this higher ratio of women as a CRISIS! NO additional women dying, but slightly less men, and feminists demanded additional protections for WOMEN (who weren't any less safe) instead of better safety for the men who were dying at over 900% higher rates than women. No extra protections for the ones doing most of the dying, but more protections for the ones who were safe as ever!

Men paying for dates. You're young yet. But when you get older women will expect to be taken for NICE dates. 2 dates a week at $200 a date comes to $18,000 a year! That's the dating tax women charge men to date! Nearly $20,000 a year men have to pay that women don't. And WE have to ask THEM out, deal with the constant rejection they haven't the guts to deal with, plan the date, do all the work, then PAY for it to the tune of $10,000-$20,000 a year for the privilege of having to do all that!

Rape is another one. This is more complicated to explain. The law in most of the country defines rape as forced to "BE penetrated". Women have inward extending genitals while men have outward protruding genitals. The inward type can be forcibly penetrated, the outward type can't. So when women are raped they are forced to BE penetrated, when men are raped they're typically forced TO penetrate another person. Since the DEFINITION of rape is being "penetrated", the rapes of men are NOT COUNTED. This is why only the tiny number of male rapes in which the man is penetrated anally are ever listed in rape statistics. Men forced TO penetrate suffer identical trauma and psychological damage to women rape victims but THEIR rapes aren't even counted!

When, in 2012, men who were forced against their will TO penetrate were included, the CDC statistics revealed that the same number of men are raped every year as women, they made up half of all rape victims and that 80% (79.2% technically) of their rapists are women. But because the legal definition of rape is "penetration" and women rapists aren't equipped anatomically to penetrate, the law ignores them! 40% of all rapists are women but when women rape men, legally, they have a free pass to commit rape, while men are prosecuted to the full extent of the law for it.

In the average year 1.270 million women report being raped and 1.267 million men do. Since men report even less than women, the true numbers are at least equal. 80% of men's rapists are women, making 40% of ALL rapists women. Even though women make up 40% of rapists, in a typical year while around 188,800 male rapists are charged, in most years not 1 woman is. The only time a woman is prosecuted is if the victim is a minor. It is then STATUTORY rape. The gender-biased, male-exclusionary DEFINITION erases most male rapes and ALL female rapists of adults from rape statistics and data. But when the way men are raped IS included, the truth hidden from the statistics is revealed. You can look this up in CDC statistics but you won't find it listed under rape statistics. You'll have to research the "forced TO penetrate" statistics to reveal where the rapes of men are hidden away out of sight. 99.9% of the public knows nothing of this so there's no pressure to change it.

This data was first revealed in 2012, was published in a paper by Lara Stemple in 2014, and updated in 2017. This data is so incontrovertible the FBI had to face the new reality and alter their own policy. They now recognize "forced TO penetrate" along with "forced penetration" in their own investigatory process. District Attorneys still won't prosecute female rapists, and the laws in much of the county which follow the "penetration" DEFINITION won't ALLOW women rapists to be prosecuted. The FBI still investigates them anyway.

There's about 500 more like those, but the few little points I've given so far are a good start.

I think the trying to prove one side has it worse is detrimental to the discussion and I don’t know why more people can’t see that. I think both sides should just acknowledge the different struggles men and women go through and try to come up with solutions together

When you're 18, you have to sign up for the selective service which allows you to be drafted into wars in order to obtain your driver's license, federal student aid, work for the government, and avoid prison time. Teen boys have had to do this for centuries - women do not have to do the same in order to gain those rights.

The first mistake—not you that was making it, but them—is to make the grievances of the human population a fucking competition of “who can be the smuggest victim?” and then round everyone of that specific sex or race or etc. into that description.

An individual suffers and fights the hard battle. A demographic statistic is not the experience of an individual. The goobers who pull this semantic cup-and-balls trick will apply some broad statistic to each and every individual of that demographic. They will say that they aren't, but they genuinely are in order to validate their weirdass intersectionality argument: that any individual of a demographic that has more “power” or “privilege” is having a much better life than any individual in a demographic that has less “power” or “privilege”.

You tell these nitwits that your life is not a scorecard to be counted, and don't even bother competing, because they win in the same way that the cheater of the schoolyard make-believe tag game cheats: they always had the “magic force field that always negated being tagged. To have an equal and egalitarian culture, you need players to all be playing the same game, but this lot is out for zero-sum power, which means that, for them to have more, you must have less. They will tell you with a grin that they are on the right side of history while twisting the knife in your “privileged” side; because to them, they are always punching up against the men, no matter the man, no matter the individual's own hard battles.
