This is kinda dumb. Microdosing magic mushrooms might sound like some wild hippy shit, but it is about as close to "getting intoxicated" as taking antidepressants is. This is a really ignorant knee-jerk reaction at the mention of the word mushrooms and that kind of thinking doesn't help anyone.

Also, microdosing psilocybin isn't an exclusively female thing at all.

She's only taking .12 grams, a standard dose is about 1.5 grams. It wouldn't be an amount that causes impairment.

Yeah, I don't really have a problem with depressed people micro dossing psilocybin.

I am a stay at home dad and I micro dose once a week to help with my general and social anxiety disorder. You don't really get high with a micro dose you just kinda feel happy and more capable. Fuck prescription anti-depressants, they make me feel like I'm detached from the world emotionally.

The article is about microdosing, that's a dose of psychedelics so small you don't get the usual tripping effects, but a way more subtle, sub threshold kind of effect. It's used for increasing productivity, creativity, mood, wellbeing, quality of relationships etc. and to treat depression and anxiety, ptsd and more...

There's a good chance she had a deeper connection to her children, felt more love and calmness and in turn was able to care better for them, so I guess there is nothing wrong with it.

Saw a segment on the evening news the other night about a growing movement among pregnant women using marijuana both during and after pregnancy. So many thoughts came to mind about child safety and nursing infants.

I have taken magic mushrooms around 50 times and in quantities from 1.5 oz to 7 oz and i can tell you that it is very rare to have a trip where you are coherent enough to properly take care of a child. Your attention span is at a minimal and then if you ever happen to have a bad trip and start to freak out a little, that could be very very scary for a kid.

This is happening where i live but with cocaine. Mothers (often single) will meet and literally snort coke, often with their kids playing round in their houses/gardens.
