I am a feminist who has always supported men's rights-true equality means equality for everyone, and often men's rights issues are overlooked by the feminist movement. I thought there are some crazy people who give the MR movement a bad name, but the same could be said about every movement.

Today an MRA I know on facebook posted an article about "International Marc Lepine Day", a day to celebrate "St. Marc", the "hero" that is mass psycho killer Marc Lepine. For anyone who doesn't know, Marc Lepine, after repeatedly being denied entry to the Montreal Ecole Polytechnique for failing to pass prerequisite classes, shot and killed 14 female students to fight "feminism".

Personally, I don't believe that spree killers should ever be celebrated. The women that he killed were not evil nazis trying to oppress men and destroy traditional society-they wanted to be engineers. I am an engineer, and I did not get into this field to maliciously take jobs away from men or destroy families by being a working woman. I think it is ridiculous and offensive that a crazy mass murderer is being held up as a "hero" to this movement.

Do other MRAs agree that Marc Lepine and his crimes should be celebrated? I'm really hoping my facebook friend is either being ironic or has gone crazy; I know I can't support a movement that glorifies spree killers, regardless of their targets or motivation.
