Is it practical to boycott child support until the laws are changed?

The best way to avoid child support is to avoid marriage and children. I understand this is difficult for some men because they want kids of their own. Given the chance you'll be divorced and the chance the ex-wife gets the kids and you get child support, it seems like a very bad deal for men. Essentially, you might create children with your wife but the chances are they won't be your children for long.

This would only work with a mass boycott. We still have to a lot of consciousness raising for a mass boycott to work.

It would be extremely effective at punishing and harming the potential future of your child.

If men mostly pay child support, it would be because women are mostly left to care for the child alone -- needing that support.

Boycotting child support is just another way of avoiding responsibility. Find other ways to make a stand, without harming the future of our species.

Yes, it's entirely practical. Finding men with the courage to do it, though, is what's difficult. Ultimately, one would end up putting a bunch of non-violent men in jail.

The first ones would have the biggest challenge ahead of them, as they'd be in there with unsavoury types. However, as more and more men were put in jail for non-violent offences (re: child support), the more violent prisoners would be pushed out in to their own block. Eventually, what one would have is entire prisons filled with a bunch of really nice guys getting three meals a day, playing basketball, and occassionally opting in to extremely-unproductive-to-wider-society in-house work programs, and a society that was accelerating toward not being able to pay to house ANY criminals, let alone violent ones.

I would rather see more men expartate because of child support then men in jail.
