They've twisted things so that our oppression looks like privilege.

"Men have all the high status jobs"

Those jobs require time, risk, talent, education, and competition with other men after the same position.

The intersection of all of those things at once isn't something women enjoy or succeed in as often as men, since men are forced to compete by taking away all other options.

So men being beaten and abused into fighting for social status ends up looking like a male privilege, when it was setup to benefit women when men succeed in the first place.

Now they just also want women to benefit when men fail, so they can take their place.

This is exactly what we're talking about.

Women by and large do not face and often aren't even aware of the struggles men are forced to deal with.

In fact, many of them consider their perception of a man's experience to be "the default", and their experience to be "unique to women", which is where we get feminist cunts pretending they know everything about being a man and that's how they come to the conclusion that men are "always privileged".

Now, take someone who's never had to be violent to anyone, and put them in a position (like the head of a military, for example), where suddenly they can and do and are capable of doing it a lot and never have them see the consequences (i.e., mostly male victims suffering) of their choices and actions

THATS how women end up being more warmongering and violent leaders.

It's easy to warhawk and posture like there's no tomorrow if you know you won't be deployed in the war you ask for, to spill the blood you demand be spilled.

If you know you will be personally deployed, you're more likely to be very careful about war. This, counterintuitively until you actually think through it, means soldiers have, on aggregate, more pacifistic leanings than any other career.

But at least professional soldiers made a choice to join the army. I'd still feel sorry for the poor bastards getting thrown into a war they knew was a bad idea and were overridden about, but, you know, it was their choice. Conscripted soldiers didn't make that choice, so I feel even, more sorry for those poor bastards. Three guesses who's gonna be conscripted in case of war, and who won't be. The first two don't count.

That's called draft dodging and the consequences for a man range from life in prison to being shot on sight.

The dehumanization is part of the indoctrination process, to make them do terrible things they need to make it so the soldiers don't see the enemy as even human.

Yes its horrible, but i think you need to have a bit more compassion for your ex-step father (edit: i'm not saying to forgive or accept or anything like that, he certainly sounds like a piece of work, but there's more to it than i think you are giving him credit for, the indoctrination starts way before they actually get into the military. That's what so much of this community is about. Even male genital mutilation is part of it, it's far easier to convince a trauma victim to victimize others. The continued dehumanization is a coping mechanism. If he doesn't continue to think of them as "fucking pakis", he now has to mentally face what he's done and he has no training, education, or experience to cope with such a thing. None of us do.

I'm with you, but we don't exactly get a choice. And for men in particular, they often have other people, likely their own children, depending on them to survive.

The men that can kill themselves often just do, which is another point we try to address in this community.

Really hope the world learns to just use their words.

Sadly, that was never the problem. Diplomacy has worked for centuries, it's the people who don't want it to work that are the problem.

Fuck with public perceptions enough and you can always shut diplomacy down. That part in particular is one of our current cultural problems.

And for the suicide part I'm absolutely with you on that. My dad and my grandpa both committed suicide. There needs to be way better support for men's mental health.

And most importantly men need to feel like they are valued for who they are and not for what they bring.

That said women do also commit suicide and the pain is just as real. The issue is more pressing for men, absolutely. But i just hope you're not one that dismisses women's "Mal de vivre".

Yes I've read the study. I'm willing to believe it, but I did wrongly assume women would start less wars since we are generally less violent than men on average.

(Not saying women aren't violent, but we tend to be more emotionally abusive than physically)

As for women making better leaders. Not necessarily. But I would assume both genders would be about the same.

That said, the whole political system needs revamping. I would love to see governments where instead of focusing on leaders and their charisma and left or right .....we'd instead focus on nominating each minister. Having experts, doctors, scientists...instead of politicians. I've also thought it would be cool if the government had a website like reddit where everyone could debate and do polls on every single decision the government makes. Have a truly transparent government that isn't left or right or male or female. Everyone would work together.

But I'm just shitting rainbows over here.

There’s a difference between sending your armies to fight a war and some head case who just gets off on having a punch up or likes to hit someone just because he doesn’t like the look of him.

I’m cautious about the claim as it covers Queen Victoria and she didn’t actually make those sort of choices. However it’s nonsense to suggest that women are less likely to go to war. Queen Elizabeth I was reluctant to go to war, but that was for the same reason her Grandfather Henry VII avoided war, the high cost, and the fact that to pay for it they’d have convene Parliament to authorise taxes, and Parliament would demand “concessions” as their price. It had nothing to do with having more regard for human life, or “deploring violence”. Maria Theresa was happy to make an alliance with her hereditary enemy, the French, and start a war with Prussia in order to get Silesia back. Catherine the Great was more than ready to go to war to increase her lands. Need I go on?

Slowly, but surely. I hope so anyways. Still a lot of improvement to be had, don't get me wrong.

I've never made such a claim, especially not poverty or crime that would have zero impact. I only assumed there would be less war or at least about the same, simply based on men being more prone to violence. Others have made good points to point out that it wouldn't make a difference. But still, I assumed being more inclined to violence yourself would equal in more war. I'm not saying we are better, but we tend to hurt with words or backstabbing instead of punches and guns.

I don't agree with trying to force more of a gender into any field whatsoever. Every job should be inclusive to both genders, but at the end of the day, I strongly disagree with any form of quota.

Nah, I think the perfect society would be equally led by men and women. And focusing on teams rather than one individual.

I'm not a feminist, I'm an egalitarian. I used to call myself a feminist but simply following what I think what most women go by, which is the saying, "If you believe men and women are equal, you are a feminist.

I think history aside, feminism is a dumb fucking name. Makes as much sense as having the movement called masculinism. I mostly dislike that it's impossible to mention any male issues, like Circumcision or the draft (on female subreddits at least) without being banned from reddit for being an "incel" *scratches labia

But I do find the men's right movement is repeating the same errors as feminism. Dismissing the other side and calling them "privileged". Instead of agreeing both sides have the bar pretty fucking low to begin with.

I wrongly assumed women were less prone to violence, not because we have better morals, but simply because most of us aren't that strong physically, most of us have never learned how to throw a punch or defend ourselves and were never in situations where we had to be. I think if we fight less it's simply because we know we'd get our ass kicked.

But you could make a counter argument that now women are so much more protected by the law and the whole "you don't hit a woman, even if she hits you" (which is bullshit, one punch and you should be good to go) that women probably use that protection to be violent without any repercussions.

And the whole violence by proxy too.

Male privilege doesn’t exist in western society.

(1) They say that we are privileged in hiring and that wage gap exists but this is not true.

Affirmative action exists. Women in fact get hired more than men do. More if they’re minority.

Wage gap just isn’t true. It doesn’t account for the extra days of time off women take, the more overtime men work, maternal leave, the fact that men are better negotiators when it comes to negotiating raises or job apps, jobs worked (men work in more dangerous, harder, higher paying jobs than women do), etc. Women get paid less because they choose careers like teaching, nursing, day care worker while men choose the trades, STEM, etc.

(2) Males can walk at night, women can’t.

Men suffer from way more homicides, assaults than women do. Not saying women don’t, but this never gets talked about.

(3) Men rule the world, we live in a patriarchy.

The top 0.01% of people rule the world, and most happen to be men. Why is this? Because men are more likely to start entrepreneurial ventures and be rewarded for it. Men have to perform, for women it’s optional. That is why men have a higher propensity to be billionaires than women do. Choice.

Also, no matriarchy has stood the test of time while patriarchies have. We wouldn’t have all modern inventions without a “patriarchy”.

Also, women love to complain that men hold all the positions of power and that women aren’t represented enough and that we need more women presidents and CEOs and whatever. But why don’t they ever complain that 90+% of bricklayers, roofers, air traffic controllers, oil rig workers, farmers are men? They just want the easy and power positions.

(4) Men are respected for sleeping around and women aren’t.

True, but there is a reason.

For a man to attract a mate he has to be a certain height, have status, be rich (or rich enough), be funny, be charismatic, know how women work, be ambitious, work out, invest in good style, etc.

And even when men has all this he has to initiate dates, lead, plan out where they go, make the first move, carry convos, reach out, etc.

And even then it is ultimately up to the women, not the man if he can even have sex.

All while women just have to show up or login in to Instagram to have a bunch of sex offers.

It is not the same. What ever is harder is always respected more.

It’s not the lock and key analogy.

I’ll explain it to you. But it might be long.

For a man to even qualify to even talk to most women without being considered a creep he has to make sure he looks good, has good hygiene, smells good, has good style, has a certain status, is charismatic, is funny, is courageous, is confident, has good social skills, understands women, makes a certain amount of money, is ambitious, is tall - preferably 6 feet tall, etc.

(Disclaimer: this is not all or nothing. He can lack in some of this stuff. And also this is what majority of women want so I am not talking about minority exceptions)

And then when he he has all these qualities he has to approach her, charm her so she can feel comfortable to give her her number, reach out to her, initiate contact, plan the dates, in most cases carry the convos (because the woman is the one being chased), make sure he displays sexual energy not to come off as friend zone guy, make her laugh, have stories to tell, touch her the right way, go for the kiss, have to game plan a way to get her to his place, etc.

Then finally before he can have sex lastly he has to ask her to have sex since women are the gatekeepers of sex and it’s up to the woman if they can or cannot.

You get the point. It’s a lot of work and it requires a man to have all the qualities, know game, put in the burden of the workload in the initial dating phase, etc.

On the other hand women just have to show up, accept the man’s advances, and open her legs to have sex. That’s it.

So who has it harder to get laid? Men or women?

The thing is, the difficult things in society always gets praised while the easy stuff doesn’t. That’s why men who have a lot of sex are viewed as high status and women aren’t. Because it’s harder and it actually takes skill and for you to be valuable to women - since many are choosing you. For a woman to have sex, all she has to do is open her legs, for a man to have a lot of sex, it requires a lot. It’s just not the same.

For me, for marriage I would like her to have no more than 5 partners. And it’s because the more sexual partners a woman has, the more likely she will not settle and always compare you to a past partner. The more partners she has, most likely she has slept with someone with higher status or just better than you. Women tend to compare partners. Many women think just because they sleep with certain caliber of man that they qualify for that calibre man in the future - but reality is no, many men will just say anything just to have sex with a woman. Especially the top 1% of men who are highly desired and have a lot of options. Also, sex is intimate and should be intimate, the more partners you have the less you appreciate the intimate factor. There are a lot of studies that show a correlation of high body count in women and marriages ending in divorce.

Since 50% of marriages end in divorce and 80% of those divorces are initiated by women, I would at least try to strive for the highest probability of success - that is a woman with a lower body count who is a bit more traditional.

Looks good: I'm personally a solid 5 or 6 at best so I don't care. And most girls who aren't a 10 won't. Hygiene: Well yeah... same for women as far as I know? Smells good: As long as you don't smell like shit Style: Actually a turn off for me if the guy has too much style. Makes him look superficial. I prefer Jeans and plain shirt or a grungy look. Charismatic: Just be yourself and be kind and you'll be Charismatic. Funny: As long as you have a sense of humour I don't care. Funny is a big plus. We're in the first world in 2023, not much courage needed (in general). Confident: Confidence can be sexy but too much is worse than not enough. Shy guys are sexy too. It's hot making a guy blush and stutter. Plus I find shy people tend to be nicer (huge generalization again). Social skills: Personally I take pills for that so I don't judge lol but always good to have! Money: NOPE. I studied architecture to never ever ever have to depend on anyone. I split everything 50/50. If a girl doesn't at least offer to pay half half... pump and dump and move on. Height: That is sadly true. Most girls like tall guys. Just like most guys like "petite" women. These are the attributes that most women want. Not you. I understand you’re an exception. And that is a compliment to you, my friend. You sound like a solid woman.

But most women wouldn’t date a homeless person, let’s be real. And most women don’t believe in 50/50 dates. Most women, like 80-90% prefer tall guys. Being funny/ having a sense of humor is a must. Being charismatic and confident is what allows you to get her to say yes. You can be shy, but confident in the way you approach her. Good hygiene of course is something every human should have. Looking good is a plus, but if you have a good physique and are well put together you can mitigate the looks a bit. Having money also really helps - most women are hypergamous (I know you are not and that is cool).

Think of it like this. This is going back to the why it is acceptable for men to have high body counts but not women.

Women are born with value. Men are not. Women have to preserve their value. Men have to build it.

A byproduct of men building their value is more sexual opportunities. A byproduct of men not working on their value is less or no sexual opportunities.

A byproduct of women preserving their value is lower body count, it shows self control and self worth. A byproduct of women not preserving their value is letting higher body count.

By value I do not mean value as a person, I mean sexual market value.

I'm not a minority. You're simply pessimistic. I know plenty of women with good values who are literally only looking for another soul to share life with. But the girls who are after money, status, tall guy, big dick fuck it up for all of us. It's great when both parties hold up their end of the bargain. While there are women, who get to live well this way there are also women like Lauren Southern who get fucked over when the man leaves. This can be a great way to live but it still involves making a gamble.

Wrong! If those chores YOU think of are made some percentage points less than with women and those I mentioned come additionally you should get at least an equal amount of workload for housework. If not even an imbalance to the other side. Not that hard to understand.

I gave it a look and it's not a very reliable source, it had 1 adult filling out the answers. How do we know they are being accurate or honest, almost certainly biased.

The work load in most households are shared and agreed on by the 2 people involved. If there are disputes, they work it out or they don't last as a couple.

Does the study take into account the commute to and from work, I couldn't find any information on that, my drive time today was 3.5 hrs return. If you put a load of laundry in, do you count all the time for the cycle?

Men overwhelmingly work physical jobs, they may not have lots of energy left to come home and clean. There is a reason day time tv commercials arnd shows are targeting women.

I think this is purely propaganda and designed to lift women and make men look bad.

Nowhere in your given study is mentioned that women solely do those chores. You don't understand that.

No. Youre not understanding because i didnt make that point. I said that women, even when theyre the bread winner, do more chores around the house then men. This is backed up by the study i linked.

Yes there will because, while the male chores you mentioned are important, they arent nearly as frequent as chores around the house. You mentioned chores like car maintenance, which maybe happens every 3 to 6 months and burying the family pet and the average lifespan of a dog can be between 10 to 20 years (depending on breed) and cats can easily live 15 to 20 years.

This point again corroborates my earlier point because due to the infrequency of these chores men will spend a lot less time on them then they would if they did other chores such as cooking or cleaning which happens everyday.

Not necessarily, it's a big generalization but we can't use that to bar an entire demographic from an industry. Obviously! Here's a little thing I thought about-

I've known so many passionate about construction but the thing is that I can't argue with the amount of risk and rigor in construction - lot of manual efforts and at the same time, the nature plays bitter games with them- unfair- but a capitalist will not understand the pain of the people but only the output, which is reduced, I'm not arguing with that. But, I know if someone's really passionate about it, they don't get an opportunity. And then, we come to the other point, "So, why should we pay you equal, when in fact, you're drawing down the productivity- it's a manual level sport, and in general again, it's fairly obvious it's more a muscle above mind situation?" Totally! We got the workforce that is passionate, but through no fault of their own at least in this case, they draw the productivity down. So, according to the principles of pay equity- "You're rewarded what you put in". Then, comes into the picture, fairness. I'll be pissed if I'm getting less than someone for the same work. But output is different so what can you do. I got paid much less even though the output was higher than others. I've got statistical evidence to prove it. So idk how I'm privileged as a man

Believe me, my ex was a hoe, no guilt what so ever even if it hurt me that my ex cheated. So it's weird how the sub dynamic is so much more different. Eitherways, the point is, we can't say for certain but, we're in the middle of a mess and we'll be attacked about privilege even more if we're not approaching it logically and taking those deviations into consideration.

I don't know what country you live in but things are a great deal different here. I do own a construction company, I'm interested to hear why you think that's impossible, I can sure use a good laugh.

I have been in the industry for years and never had a man or woman raped on a site, never even heard of that. This is just crazy, we don't have undocumented immigrants working on our sites either, there are no "intimidation battles" or anything like that. I'm trying to be respectful but are you in a third world country?

I live and work in Vancouver ,Canada and our job sites are very professional and safe as well as a positive work environment that people would be happy to bring their families to visit.

It's just bizarre to me that you don't even work in construction and yet you think you are so knowledgeable and the whole world is the same as your friend told you. The word is a big place and there are plenty of different ways to do things.
