Typically it happens to babies, who don't have a choice. On top of that, it's a risk factor for a number of physical and mental problems. The chance of death as a result of circumcision is about as big as the chance of needing circumcision for something like phimosis.

Sometimes circumcission isn't necessary for phimosis either, but sometimes it is.

We don't remove body parts unless there's a reason to believe it improves health outcomes. If someone wanted to remove my appendix, that's unethical. When someone wants to remove my appendix because I have appendicites, that's a good medical decision.

If someone wants to amputate my arm it's barbaric. When someone wants to amputate my arm because otherwise necrosis or cancer or whatever would kill me, then they're a saint. The difference is in the context.

don't have your wisdom teeth extracted or appendix or tonsils out

not from infants, not just because... all 3 of those can just not be removed throughout someones life. All 3 have uses too... either that or they are evolutionary leftovers (wisdom teeth) that are removed just as a quality of life improvement.

As or STDs, circumcised men in the US are more likely to get STDs than intact men in Europe. Try not being a manwhore.
