Height is an indicator of strength, necessary for physical work, battle, and protecting the woman. It's an evolutionary caveman survival trait that women are genetically programmed to be attracted to.

Men are attracted to the physical female form that indicates fertility. Long hair= healthy female, short hair= malnourished, for example.

It's not shallow to like physical traits, only a double standard to call men out for it but not women.
