Hate to break it to you, but studies show that 1 in 16 or even 1 in 7 men are rapists, straight up. Also, only 40% are ever reported, and there are literally 600 rapes a day in the US. So statically, if you live within an apartment complex, you are likely living next to a rapist. If you live on a city street, same deal. Also, 1 in 3 men willingly admit they would rape if they knew they would get away with it. One in fucking three, and yet you seem to be more concerned with the 2% of false accusations than the .6% of rape cases that end up in incarceration. Look up rape statistics, they are disgusting. 20% of women will be raped in their lifetime, and that’s not sexual assault, that’s rape.

Also, it’s worth noting that rape often negatively affects people for the rest of their lives. 1 in 2 rape victims get PTSD. A lot of men have told me to break up with my girlfriend because in the 18 months we have been dating, we have not had sex. Why? Because although she wants to, and we have tried, she cannot get over her mental fear. Why? Her dad raped her as a kid. She is no less deserving of a loving relationship simply because she was raped, and I am doing my best to help her feel comfortable sexually, I love her and am I okay with waiting as long as it takes. It’s honestly just heartbreaking how much it affects her. That’s just one woman in my life, my roommate and my sister have also experienced clear trauma from sexual assault, for example.

That puts actual rapists at 6%, higher than I would have imagined, but still leaves the vast majority of men as non rapists.

The other number you would find interesting, is that 65-85% of rape victims knew their attacker. So this line about being afraid of walking alone at night because you might get jumped by a rapist and raped, is BS. Edit: BTW, I don't know a single man who doesn't experience anxiety when walking home alone at night.

I've seen it, the most popular one is the one of a moderately attractive girl walking through the city. And then she had to go into the seedier parts of town to even get those. Being told "Hello" by multiple different men while walking through a populous city and calling it harassment is the definition of a first world problem.

If 1 in 6 women are raped in their lifetime, rapists aren’t rare.

This statement has been debunked numerous times. Also, 1/6 women, doesn't equate to 1/6 male rapists, as many rapists have multiple victims.

If the vast majority of rape (both male on female and male on male) is committed by men, which it is, then the statement “rapists aren’t men” is wholly incorrect.

I just knew someone would take it literally. The idea is, when you rape, you lose the right to call yourself a man, and are now an animal.

It is, because it's a people issue. Why do feminists completely ignore how women behave? You are aware 70% of boys report being molested, raped or abused by their mother, right?

So men rape according to you, but women are child rapists and molesters. Like with anything else, speeding in a school zone, it's much much worse when the victim is a child.

So let's talk bud, what do we do? I suggest we disallow women to be mothers or near children due to the high rate of harm they case, at more than quadruple the rape you claim, so this is a much much more urgent matter in terms of treating people well and their safety. I mean women do it more and it's involving a child. So this should be the real sexual assault subject we should be talking about if we are really going to show concern for human safety both physically and sexually, don't you agree?
