I’m noticing how often some of the most toxic women are the ones that treat social media like they’re CONSTANTLY advertising their lives and their looks for the world to see.

A girl who has 2k followers thinking she’s suddenly an influencer because she is constantly posting gym selfies or nights out and getting all these dudes attention.

When in reality, they’re just advertising how desperate they are for attention and how bad they constantly crave that validation.

The girls that barely use social media and have very low follower accounts/low activity are the ones that seem to have their heads on straight.

If a chick is constantly posting her gym selfies, night out videos of her outfits with as much cleavage as possible etc, just remember, she’s looking for attention and she’s looking for A LOT of it. Dating a girl like that won’t suddenly change her mindset towards seeking validation from males either. It will just give you the added headache of constantly fighting with a girl who needs constant approval, wants to be out wearing whatever she feels like, and will tell you you’re being controlling if you tell her what she’s doing makes you uncomfortable.

I think you've made a mistake. Let me explain.

Everything you said is absolutely true, but you're not talking about all women, you are just talking about women who work as escorts, sex workers, and "sugar babies" (or whatever you wanna call women who live off the largesse of men who have disposable income without being overtly transactional about it). Consequently, it's not that all attractive women are like this, it's that women who are like this have to be attractive. They have to learn how to handle and manipulate men in general to do what they do - and being attractive is a big part of that. It's their bread and butter.

This is why I think your strategy is ultimately self defeating. These girls' instagram and other socials are also their bread and butter. Asking women like this to delete their socials is like asking a freelancer to give up all their prospects and clients and make you their sole client. That's a huge opportunity cost to just focus on one man. Eventually the ride will stop.

This is the modern version of "falling in love with a stripper". Instead of asking kept women to give up their socials and commit to you fully, just date women who don't live like that way in the first place. Or don't. But I think you are lying to yourself if you think the super hot instagram model 20 years younger than you who hovers around as long as the money flows is going to fall in love, commit to you, and become wife material.

Lol, I made a comment about something similar in another thread & it got downvotes. I guess those guys were a bunch of Mayberry Andy Griffith types. In any case, do not date a chick that has a constant need for social media approval in the first place. I know a few girls who are in relationships that are always posting selfies of themselves for likes, if your happy with your man & your life then you do not need the validation of stranger's. Try to find like that from the jump, like you said low social media time if any at all, doesn't wear a whole lot of makeup if any, dresses down for the most part.

I think that the “gaslighting” is just highlighting the coercive control and insecurity of the person insisting on the ban.

If this is a genuine concern for you, I would maybe be looking for a different type of person. If you know of young women who are being offered these types of opportunities- a decent human thing to do would be to advise them not to go. There are various accounts of poor treatment, with no remedy as extra-marital sex (or rape) is jailable there.

I think it's important to realize that a sample size does not reflect an entire population. Not all men, and not all women. Same with politics, a few people from the other side doesn't mean they are all like that, and a few people on your side does not mean you and everyone else around you are the same.

The ones you see online are just the ones that have been algorithmically advertised to you. These OF models, "high end" escorts are incredibly tech savvy, more than you think. They have managers who are professional social media experts trained specifically to reach a certain demographic. I get these a lot too, but I don't believe every woman is a secret OF model. Conversely I don't believe every man pays for OF. But we hear about it so much that it drowns out the cases where it is the complete opposite.

You know women always end up dating the asshole and then complain? But in reality it's because they willingly chose the asshole over the nice guy? This is the exact case, but for men. There are plenty of normal women around who do not engage in OF, but somehow those are the ones that we somehow choose to give our attention to.

How 'bout simply don't date or get in relationship with those that excessively use their "socials" or put inappropriate stuff on their "socials". Easy peasy, eh? I'm 60+, and never had an issue with a girlfriend or partner or the like putting inappropriate stuff on their "socials" or excessively posting to such ... or even excessively using such. Yeah, I get to know 'em reasonably well first (at least almost always), and I see significant red flag(s), I don't go there ... period. And if it was case where we had a date or meeting, and I hardly knew 'em first (rarish, but sometimes happens) ... I see significant red flag(s), that's generally going nowhere and gonna end fast. That's it, not too hard to do.

Yeah, I don't think insisting folks delete all their socials is useful or feasible, and for at least two reasons. If they're a sh*t person and going to do inappropriate sh*t, communicate inappropriate stuff (e.g. personal) about you, etc., having 'em delete their socials will do damn little to change that. It's also pretty damn unfair controlling behavior. How'd you like it every woman you became gf or more with, insisted you delete all your socials? Say bye-bye to your Reddit account, your Facebook - and all your contacts there, much etc. But hey, that's what you're insisting they do, so ... good for the goose, good for the gander eh?

So, yeah, don't get in relationships with sh*t people. That's should be the lesson here. And you'll avoid a helluva lot of problems, and way beyond whatever they do and/or don't do with their "socials". But hey, you do you.
