I also find it weird. But a lot more people (at least that I know) know about misogyny when i have had to explain misandry a lot. In fact Google chrome doesn't even recognize it as a word.

that's because misogyny has become a catch-all. make a blonde joke? misogynist. make a comment on how that girl from HR is hot? misogynist. post on internet forums on ways to beat women without getting caught? misogynist.

only one of those things is a real "hatred for women". i don't know about you, but i think it's pretty obvious which one it is.

My view on this (just like my view on Wikipedia) is that the purpose of these online repositories is to mirror public opinion. If misogyny is used more broadly and more subjectively than misandry, the dictionary should reflect this.
