It's simple if you put it in their perspective: Power and control.

Feminists freak out at these ideas against abortion because they want the power and control of their own bodies and destiny (I don't want to be a mother yet and I don't care what he thinks). Feminists freak out about LPS because that takes some power and control over their own destinies (I want to be a mother now, so he's a deadbeat and now my own wants are compromised).

Abortion is argued as a right to bodily autonomy while LPS is argued as a reproductive right. One has to argue that sperm falls under a man's bodily autonomy to compare abortion and LPS on equal ground.

I used to make the parallel to abortion rights as well. I have recently come to the opinion that a better corollary is the mother's unilateral right to give the child up for adoption, after birth. If you're interested in why I think so, I posed about it here.

Our culture has re-purposed the word "responsibility" to include accepting consequences that are not inevitable outcomes of a scenario in the name of morality. It's as if wearing a seat belt is denying drivers the responsibility of dying in car accidents, because doing otherwise would be a insult to the old ways before seat belts were invented.
