My step-sister is a recovering feminist. While she is still blind to the damage feminism has done to society as a whole she's become acutely concerned over the risks it entails for her son, who she raised to always put women first.

He's a smart, kind, low key young man, an underachiever, who has had several close calls with false accusations, always getting taken advantage of by girlfriends. His fiancee demeans him in public and he's clearly afraid of upsetting her in any way.

When we try to talk to him about it, he blames himself and takes any criticism of women or even advice to be careful of women as misogyny. He says the fault is with him and he 'needs to be more of a man but does not know how'. (whatever that means)

His mother is beside herself and he seems to be slipping into depression. We tried to get him to a therapist, but the fiancee won't go with him and objects if he wants to go alone.

Any suggestions?
