TV Shows with no misandy in them?

You’ll find less misandry in content that was released prior to around 2014 or so.

Contact TV and movie producers and let them know you don’t like all the misandry in more recent content. Sometimes this works against the most egregious stuff like The Acolyte.

Complain about it on review sites like Rotten Tomatoes or IMDB too, but you’ll need to talk around certain things because feminists sometimes censor mentions of the word misandry on those sites.

EDIT: Rotten Tomatoes censored a lot of the negative reviews of The Acolyte, but you can still tell it’s misandrist crap from looking at this page:

I haven’t read or watched the tv show but I’ve heard invincible covers the topic of women raping men in one of the chapters of the book, I could be wrong

None that I can recall from modern times. Some like Frasier are fun and free of it since it’s focused on a man’s life (Frasier) but everything these days follows the sitcom formula of stupid fat husband married to hot smart wife who constantly berates his incompetence.

Comedies are even worse because it’s only okay to make fun of the men, never the women. One example is parks and recs. They continually make fun of big fat Gerry/Jerry while big fat Donna - not a single fat joke. She is never shown as a buffoon while he constantly is, and they keep asking how on earth he could have a hot wife while Donna is married to the actor Keegan Michael key is who tall, athletic and handsome - no man that looks like him would want someone like Donna - but once again, not a single joke about it.

Avatar the last airbender. No hate is thrown to the guys, one of the main characters who is a girl teacher is a man, the strongest benders (a term used for people manipulating the elements) is a mix of men/women. The 3 main villains are women. It allows women to be evil and men to be complex and grow.

If you have kids, Alvin and the Chipmunks cgi series is good. My younger cousin watches it so I end up watching it too. So far very equal between the boys and girls like in one episode a girl and boy are competing to answer a question. The girl hits the boy and the boy hits her back but shockingly the teacher tells off the girl saying that was uncalled for and let the boy answer the question. And in other episodes the boys whilst they may be the butt of a joke they never shy away from making the girls the butt of the joke too. Like bragging they could do something better than the boys than fail in 3 seconds. They call eachother insults and generally everyone is treated the same.

Felt very equal and not mean spirited or girlboss media being thrown down your throat. If I ever have sons that is definitely a show they will be watching. Treated all 6 main characters as actual characters rather than their genders and usual misandry or female privilege wasn't tolerated.

Their dad is also a single dad who is very competent yet loving that they all respect and obey rather than a dumb sitcom dad.

Modern family is also another one. They have a wife admitting her husband is smarter than her, and whilst both be petty in the usual sitcom-y way they are both doing it. They don't make the dad dumb. Although it focuses on 3 families and one of the dads is more silly yet he isn't talked down too or treated as brain dead just more innocent and optimistic. And it's never shown as his wife settling for him but genuinely in love with him. Also very equal feeling. The smartest character is a girl...so is the dumbest one. The smartest adult is a man etc All very equal feeling again felt like actual characters rather than just their genders.

Superman and Lois doesn't have any misandry. Clark is allowed to be angry, discipline his sons, Lois prioritises and respects him not just loves but actually respects him, the father's are all different but still love their kids and aren't dumb sitcom type dads. Clark's kids both are very masculine leading in style and activities (video games, play American football etc). Complex relationships with his sons. Women aren't painted as morally superior. The main villain in season 2 was a woman and they didn't try redeeming her or anything. Lois yells at Clark and apologises quickly rather than do the thing where the husband is OK with it, he is occasionally snarky and witty to her, she praises him and treats him with respect and decency such as asking to borrow his car instead of saying "I need to borrow your car" big difference. They are equals rather than girlboss wife and timid husband, he challenges her, quips back and doesn't let her walk over him. Nice change of pace.

Kung Fu Panda is also one. Legends of Awesomeness not a whole lot of misandry there last time I checked.

Squid Games is a really good one. The women are just as evil as the men but there are many good men and women. They also don't girlboss-ify it and forget about stuff like men having greater strength as that becomes a plot point of certain teams only choosing men because they want greater strength. It isn't treated as sexist but just being realistic. That is a lot more adult than the other options on this list.

I really tend to watch kid stuff. So my options are influenced by that.

Abandon Hollywood and embrace anime. Things like Dragon Ball, One Punch Man, Demon Slayer.

Casts of men and women where they are all great characters with none of the forced "girlboss" nonsense.
