I always disliked the glass ceiling argument. Especially by women who are remarkably average at their job. You're not being promoted because you're not good enough, not because you possess a vagina.
While they spend their time arguing with strangers on the internet the person who did get the promotion was pulling extra shifts at work.

credit to girlwriteswhat for bringing this to my attention. I also want to add that people should follow integralmath, he doesn't get nearly enough attention.

Ha, those usernames were pretty funny. And yeah, good video. Does a good job of showing the hypocrisy when feminists claim that they're all about equality and take men's issues into consideration.

They do, but their convenient patriarchy theory lets them totally ignore them.

This is fun, but trying to get feminists to see the point of videos like this is like trying to get a hungry dog to stop eating a platter of bacon and go take a bath all on it's own just by asking nicely.
They're gonna keep doing what they're doing and if you try to stop them or try to change their focus you'll just get growled at and maybe even bit.

I believe the usual feminists phrases we all hear, originate from literature of gender studies or Women's Studies.
Patriarchy, misogyny, cis, heteronormative, post-structuralism, post-modernism, oppression and other common verbatim used by feminists are ubiquitous in Women's Studies coffers.

Jessica bell-end-ti + Scottish accent = lol

And I'm sure feminists would think this is a typical MRA post.
Let's stop the broad generalizations here, pretending youtube comments represent any group of people is beyond stupid.
It's counterproductive and literally operates on the same logical principles as racism and prejudice. There's just no room for it in an intelligent debate, and the fact that "the other side does it too" is not a good reason to match their bullshit.

Oh, I get it.

Awesome video, but i think he shouldve elaborated more on the issues. And when he talked about VAWA, i kinda agreed with that comment and ive seen people on here agree with it too

Age of retirement raised for women? Okay, I don't see why not.
If they want to pay, then why shouldn't they be able too?
If they want to pay more for insurance then let them.
Let them play more rounds in Tennis.
Agreed about abortion.
Somewhat true. Some women do make it worse for other women.
I'm done. This video is just fucking stupid.

lol you completely missed it.

What am I missing?
[–]c0mputar15 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
None of those comments were made by feminists.

I am an idiot. Ignore me for a little bit haha

No worries. I had the advantage of knowing the video got featured by girlswritewhat. That probably aided me towards seeing the satire.
[–][deleted]0 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
That's what I was thinking the whole time but then I just got mad. lol

The purpose of the video was simply to highlight how a feminist only advocates for further benefits to women. All the issues listed in the video are made by people that feminists would "maliciously" label as MRAs, despite being obvious concerns for gender equality.
If women are more advantaged than men in some instance, it is simply not a concern for the mainstream feminist agenda. In the minority of cases, some feminists may even argue that it's fair when men are disadvantaged, with respect to some zero-sum agenda or their interpreted historical record.
The presentation is hilarious and, from the perspective of the general public, it's quite ironic.
