PS: Take heed, you owe society nothing, they have no quarrels throwing into the ditches at any second. Men fought for their land in the past and were rewarded respect, love and a community back home, now all of that has vanished, so you have no obligation to defend anything besides yourself

You know what's annoying? Most women from countries with male-only conscription have zero respect for the men's sacrifices.

It's what pissed me off the most while I was serving. Knowing that these ungrateful *****es were sleeping safely and soundly with no appreciation for my forced servitude.

And then on days when I get to go back home? None of them want to sit next to me on the bus, or stand near me at the traffic junction, because my combat fatigues "stink" and I reek of "army camp". Fuck off.

It is of course not legal but I have read that it is not too difficult to walk across the border from Ukraine to Moldova, across the fields. The Ukraine border is so long that I think it would be very hard for it to be totally guarded. There is no fence and a lot of back roads go very close to it.

Is there a reason this subreddit always focuses so much on Ukrainian conscription and not Russian conscription? Am I missing something? Is Russia only using volunteers?

Ukrainian here. Look, I'm all for the man's rights, but the thing is that we need to defend our country - otherwise, not just men would be killed. If russia defeats us, all Ukrainians are doomed.

I don't want that. No one wants that of course (except russians since they support this and they are going here voluntarily - there are actual reports on that), but for us Ukrainians that's the only way to keep our nation and country existing.

And btw if anyone needs to know, I'm a man, but I wasn't drafted yet.

Only men 27 and older can be conscripted into the military, but they are able to voluntarily enlist at the age of 18.

As an ex-conscript and current reserve in a country not in war, this makes no sense. Men are fking old at 27, thats no where near their prime. Those in my country are forced to enlist around 18-20, minimum are able to volunteer at 16.

At some point in the past, their propaganda was going on how Ukraine had this female special forces unit that was "no worse than men" and all that.

Ukraine stands a chance to set a perfect example making the conscription non-sexist and including women too.

Right now, Ukrainian kitties are having a blast on european сосk carousels, while the men of the country have no right to leave it.

A vagina is a ticket into life, a dick is a ticket into death.

Feminists in Ukraine are suspiciously quiet about that by the way LOL
