Considering the dating size I would think dating other people aside from just MRAs would be a good idea (If I only dated vegetarians I'd be pretty lonely). Someone who is open minded and willing to listen to your ideas and attempt to at least understand them is a trait you should go after. They don't need to be an active member of member of either affiliation, but they should be respectful of yours.

My biggest crush in the past few years is a college professor who calls herself a "feminist", yet she cooked dinner for me and kept serving me more food even as I begged her to sit down and eat with me because I wasn't going to see her again for a while...she is one of the most intellectually endowed people I know, but extremely feminine and emotional as well. Very interesting character. In general though I'm into smart, affectionate (not emotionally clingy, just physically), short, dark, thick-yet-fit ladies who are open-minded and physically active, so they can go on a camping or ski trip with me as easily as come out dancing or go to the hot springs --- all things I like to do and expect to be accompanied in.

I'm married, I liked my wife because she was smart and sympathetic, she me for the same reasons. Also she did not have the typical drawbacks of most her gender, although of course she had her own unique drawbacks - and she saw me the same way.

I'd like to say we sought each other out, but in my case it was a process of trial and error.
