What is the solution to false rape accusations?

You can't stop them completely, only deter them. However, I also have to call BS on there being no solutions offered. They're offered just about every time we discuss false accusations.

Anonymity, punishing malicious false accusers with criminal charges, returning presumption of innocence to the accused, overturning the Dear Colleague standards, recognizing that sex can be a confusing mess of awkward interactions resulting in an outward consent with an internal rejection, ending victim blaming for the falsely accused, recognizing that false accusations are not "good for men," etc.

I find the in the feminism sub they tend to talk about the issues and create solutions that they believe could fix the issue, but in men's rights there alot of issues and no solutions.

I call bullshit on this.

The frequently mentioned solutions on this subreddit include anonymity for the accused, and punishment of false accusers. If you haven't seen those, you haven't spent much time here.

From your comment history, I see that you are a feminist. That would probably explain your bias.

I'm getting a bit tired of people who are "concerned" about our supposed failure to discuss issues which we do, in fact, discuss quite frequently.

There are a lot of social forces and ideas that make false rape accusations much more common than they need to be. Things like making sure people know that rape depends upon whether they consented or not, and not on whether they wanted to have sex, and also getting rid of the idea that women never lie about rape, and the idea that all men are rapists or support rape would help reduce the problem.

I think it is fairly clear that they did it. They had pictures up on facebook and posted tweets about it on twitter. They even confessed.

Please get over it. Their football careers are not as important justice for that poor girl, and saying she was passed out so "didn't say no" is an absurd defense. They did it; they belong in prison.

Punish false accusers, harshly.

Set the same standard for rape convictions as for other crimes: physical evidence and the assumption of innocence.

We don't see people getting back at others by falsely accusing their enemies of murder. Why? Because it's hard to try that. And we'd take such a false accusations seriously.

False rape accusations work because A) there is a decent chance of being successful and B) worst case scenario she walks away with no penalty.

It's gambling except that at worse you break even.

Women found guilty of it should serve the exact same sentence that the man they accused would have been asked to serve if he had been found guilty:

A decade or so in a MEN'S prison.
