First I would like to preface this by this isn't meant to be an attack on women but rather a rallying cry to cut the bullshit thrown into men and support victims of domestic violence who have been silenced for far too long.

For as long as we know, men are perceived as violent, angry, reckless, you name it... and as this pertained to modern society we discussed enmasse how men are abusive to their partners, how men are violent disgusting pigs who only hurt their wives or girlfriends.

It's to the point that men still to this day only have 2 domestic violence shelters for them and them alone in the entire country of United States, when the facts show the sad truth.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2968709/

Here is an article discussing a study on how women abuse their intimate male partners, the study shows that not only are women more likely to be a sole abuser (only one abusing in the situation) than a man was, but on top of that they are more likely to instigate any mutual abuse by a whopping 80%. Mutual abuse of course is the most common among heterosexual relationships however again among the sole abuse cases women take charge.

Now of course there are tons of factors at play here and I will always agree men are in general more capable of severe damage and sole abuser men are more likely to repeat the abuse however the study also speaks on the fact women use manipulation and emotional abuse far more than men, along with using deadly weapons more than men.

Now here is where it gets interesting

https://mainweb-v.musc.edu/vawprevention/lesbianrx/factsheet.shtml

Lesbian relationships are more likely to be abusive both physical and mental, along with divorce being the highest among any relationship demographic. Now if we were to just listen to what society has told us, we would automatically assume men cause women to request divorce in heterosexual relationships however with this information it doesn't seem so cut and dry does it?

If the stats aren't so clear then why are men always thrown under the bus of abuse? That he must have done something to cause infidelity, abuse, and divorce?

Seems like society is a just a tad bit biased towards women and refuses to acknowledge men don't have it better.
