I assume you're just a troll or a bad faith actor when you try to conflate women and feminism - so that by attacking one a man can be accused of attacking the other. Not so. Feminism claims dominion over women, but at the end of the day it's a political ideology and meme that exploits women and our evolutionary psychology in regards to them to gain power.

Feminism is the dominant religion of the secular west, explicitly anti-male, and absolutely divisive. Scapegoating men is in the very DNA of the movement (based on power dynamics and identity politics). The most sacred tenet of feminism is oppression narratives where men are the oppressor.

You say it's not a major threat, yet they've worked tirelessly to transform broad public institutions and culture to privilege women over men. Primary school redesigned for girls success at the expense of boys, boys failing and dropping out at epidemic numbers. In colleges and universities feminist narratives are used to justify gender specific scholarships, admissions processes, advancement within academia at the expense of men. Now women make up a vast majority of post secondary students, graduates, and out-earn young men. Feminists have tirelessly advocated for side lanes in courts and human rights tribunals that treat men as secondary due to their privilege. Public funding for men has slowed to a trickle and been diverted to feminist causes. Male shelters are shut down. Help lines have scripts that only treat men as abusers. Suicide skyrockets, workplace deaths run rampant, men die. To me that constitutes a real and ongoing threat.

Male advocates have been continually attacked by feminists. I've seen an endless stream of hate and malice thrown at anyone who stands up for men. Organized harassment and reporting campaigns. Male advocacy is bundled as 'dangerous' and 'misogynistic' and such narratives are used to shut down male advocacy. The result is that men have never been more isolated and disenfranchised. Men even talking about their issues is smeared as misogynistic, dangerous, and threatening.

So, yeah. Don't conflate women with feminism, and feminism is probably one of the most powerful lobbies in the west, and definitely a proven, ongoing, and existential threat to male advocacy and the flourishing of men generally.

I was going to answer you seriously. But I will resume it. Men don't hate women. The feminist movement is full of hypocrites and misandric women.

I'm not denying the difficulties of being a woman, just pointing out that we are not demons and they are not angels.

Why conflate women with feminism? It erases male feminists and female antifeminists, and wrongly portrays antifeminism as misogynistic.

All forms of feminism are based on Patriarchy conjecture, which has some pretty awful implications when you examine what needs to be true for it to be valid.

The track record of feminists isn't particularly great for a lot of mens' issues, with feminists often entrenching already problematic disparities in law and policy. For example.

Presumed custody of children in the case of divorce. This was exacerbated by the Tender Years Doctrine, spearheaded by first-wave feminist Caroline Norton, and perpetuated by modern feminists through lobbying groups' efforts against rebuttable presumed shared custody.
Seperation of consent to sex from consent to parenthood and the responsibilities thereof. Feminist commentators have said that a unilaterally male-controlled contraceptive would "take away womens' choices".
Bodily integrity (i.e., genital mutilation. For girls its a violation of international law; for men it's at best unusual but tolerable, and at worst actively campaigned for as an eroneous means of combating AIDS). Feminists, while claiming to be advocates for "equality", are curiously quiet on this issue, compared to their efforts on FGM.
Immunity from accusations of rape. Rape requires the perpetrator to have a penis, so when women engage in nonconsentual sex with men, he is more likely to be charged than she is. This is mainly the work of Feminist researcher Mary Koss, from whom feminists get the eroneous 1-in-4 statistic. And if a woman gets pregnant from raping a man (or boy), she can sue her rape victim for child support.

Obviously some of these would be best reformed by giving men rights (bodily integrity, for instance), while some would be better served by removing womens' privileges (immunity from accusations of rape). Equal treatment, that's all that's required.

It’s not about hate. Feminism is anti-male. Much of the discrimination the men’s rights movement seeks to make equal is a result of feminism.

Men “hating” feminism is kind of like blacks, “hating” the KKK.

Why would anybody embrace a movement that actively promotes discrimination against them?

Of course, women and feminism are not at all the same thing. There are many women who actually promote equal rights (including equal rights, for men) rather than promote feminist advantages for women, much as there are white people who promote equal rights for blacks.

i dont hate women and i think you are underestimating how hateful the average feminist is, its cool that you want to help women, most people, men and women do, but ill tell you a story now that you are bringing up women fear of men, I live in a very unsafe country, most people who commit crime are poor, and most poor people are men, other men are also way more likely to be victims of violent crimes, so by all means I would have to have more reasons to be clasist and mysandrist right?

i don't tho, doesn't mean that I have no worries about poor men when I go about my shit, I think that most people react like that when it comes to homeless people, but that doesn't makes it ok for me to be blaming other poor men of shit someone like them did, to me and to others, and lots of other factors have to do with crime, its not just a men bad situation.

also I'm not sure what people who mention women's issues with men expect? like I'm supposed to go up on arms about women that I don't know against men I don't know, who probably would have less hangups about killing me or hurting me that they would about killing or hurting a woman? or when it comes to women victims of crimes, most of them are perpetrated by men they have relationships with, what do you do about that, protect them of themselves and their own choices In men? or when they have issues with me because I'm a man, hell, even a brown man, I'm supposed to apologize for something that someone else who looks like me did? whats up with all that?

🤔... I'm not "angry" OP. Tired is the word for me of being treated as a "second class citizen" because of my gender...🤷‍♂️ I still remember the last time a woman ( at work ) was harassing me, I asked her to stop, by being honest ( not interested, thank you ) the next day I've got a call from my boss, that hr had an official complain about me, for Harassing her...🤦‍♂️ Of course I talked to them, but they didn't believe me. ( The "me too" only is used in favor of women ) So after they threatened my job. I presented the recordings that I had ( yes, as a man i need extra evidence just to get heard ) ...do you think something happened to her OP? 🤣Of course not! not even reprimanded her ( poor liar ) while I was going to lose my hard earned years of hard work ( reputation ) and my income...🤷‍♂️ Oh, and 11 months later ( she did the same to another man ) this sub is the place where we talk about issues that many men ( probably most men ) experience and can't talk about it. Because they laugh at you or dismiss you with the classic "man up" as a society we have many problems and one of them is clearly the laws and narrative pushed against men.

Why are black people worried about the KKK? The vast majority of people they encounter on a day-to-day basis aren't members, and even those who ARE are unlikely to be murderous, and still more unlikely to be able to get away with it. It's the same with the Feminists. Almost literally- they're much freer with the hate speech, but otherwise, it's almost an exact parallel.

Women are worried about being catcalled; we're worried about being drummed out of our jobs or even thrown in prison because a woman doesn't like the we way looked at her. That doesn't happen, you say?

I saw a friend dragged off by to campus star chamber on a sexual assault charge that I KNEW was false, because at the time we were both asleep, myself against the door of his fifth-floor dorm room. It wasn't a literal star chamber, of course, because in a star chamber, he'd've had more rights- and that due to VICE-PRESIDENTIAL MANDATE; the school didn't have a choice if it wanted to stay open.

There wasn't a shred of evidence against him besides the accuser's word, but he wasn't allowed to present evidence or call witnesses; one glance at the security camera footage would've cleared him. He was thrown out of school, because accusation equals guilt, and wound up putting a shotgun in his mouth.

So no, the danger is just as big as we think. Maybe even bigger. Men are needed, and should be valued. Women are needed, and should be valued. Feminists are members of a hate movement, and damaging to society.

Oh where to start…

I, and many (most) here do draw a distinction between feminism (which is an ideological and political movement) and women in general. However the effects of feminism are everywhere. A great many of the issues guys face is either directly caused by feminism; exacerbated by feminism; or feminism seeks to silence it.

Examples? How about education. Feminists kept asserting about how hard done by and neglected girls were in schools even as they were pulling ahead of boys. Their claims were actually the opposite of reality, but were lapped up and schools made even more focused on girls. And how about higher education. Women are now more than 60% of graduates. Campus is actually less gender balanced than it was in 1972 when special measures to boost women were deemed necessary to overcome this “obvious discrimination”. Yet for feminists there’s “nothing to see here folks” - but leave all those measures meant to most female enrolment in place as if they’re still underrepresented. But what do we hear? All the them? Not enough women in STEM! That they’re kept out by “discrimination”. And face all these obstacles and “hostility”! And special measures need to be taken. They’ve already lowered the enterence requirements for women at the University of New South Wales.

And why the focus on STEM? It’s because they are the only courses which still are majority male. Everything else is majority female - some overwhelmingly so. But that’s ok.

Given this, do you honestly think their calls for “diversity” or “affirmative action” and other favouritism of women in employment are going to be wound back once the majority of lawyers, stockbrokers and engineers are women??? Of course not. Feminism is not equality. It’s female boosting, at its best. At its worst it is literally a hate movement. And feminism’s influence is everywhere now. It has had so many laws and policies enacted. And feminist women are in key positions everywhere.

And even women who do not get involved in feminist rants and activism are definitely influenced by feminist ideas. How can they not be? It’s everywhere in education; in the girls magazines; onljne; social media.

I don’t hate women, but I hate how women treat men on social media. Look at almost any AITA or AIO post on here. No matter what the situation is, I see women calling the man the problematic person, a “man child,” an asshole, etc. It’s always the man’s fault. Even when the exact story is posted and genders flipped, it’s still the man’s fault.

Look at any parenting page across social media. Dads are often mocked and belittled by women, we’re made out to be incompetent parents and moms will immediately dismiss any issues we deal with. Mom pages have basically become dad bashing pages.

Any time I see a celebrity divorce story, even if no details at all are made public, the vast majority of the comments are some variation of, “She can do better!” “Good for her for getting away from him!” “He probably cheated!” Again, it’s always the man’s fault.

I know it’s often not nearly as bad in the real world as it is online, but it’s almost become trendy for women to bash men and belittle men any and every chance they get. And if we dare speak up for ourselves, we get mocked for that too. It just gets exhausting constantly being bombarded with “men are trash” stuff all across social media.

Lots of guys are just tired and yeah being treated differently will make people angry. Hardly anyone here hates women simply because they are women.

Men don't wish the worst on women, women however do wish the worst on men even going as far as to wish death on a newborn baby because he was born a boy (Margot Robbie's son). Men aren't saying KillAllWomen or defending a man's actions no matter how bad it was.

I don't get why this sort of attitude is targeted to men and Mens Rights Activists, we aren't the ones perpetuating such hatred to women. This should be a question for feminists and women, Instagram, tiktok, YouTube, Reddit, Twitter are all very anti-man and hate on him for no reason. Even in real life and other sources books, tv shows, movies they try to show the woman more favourably or have double standards against men that would never be accepted for women. You said you scroll this subreddit but if you did you would see so many articles pointing out how differently men are treated.

First of all I hate how you conflate or equate both of them. Feminism =/= Women (and MRM =/= Men either), feminism is a movement, rather disunited and internally bickering as it is, united or grouped by the idea of patriarchy and that women should have rights. The extent of the right needed and how they interpret the relation between the patriarchy and men as well as women varies between groups.

However, one thing that can't be denied is the fact that the feminist group tends to either partake or defend the slander and demonization of men. This can be seen from the earliest suffragettes to the casual misandry excused such as the exclusive male only man or bear, kill all men, variations of men are horn dog and violent by nature, etc.

Add the fact that those are the lesser misandry given leeway by most of feminism or done by feminists themselves. There are feminists like Mary P.Koss who defined "rape" traditionally and which data (the NISVS from CDC) is refered again and again in research and debates by feminists themselves, causing people to downplay male rape and even allowing bad people to be openly sexist about it as well (feminists saying most male victims have male rapist even if female perpetrator of "made to penetrate" outnumbers male perpetrator of male "rape" 2 to 1, and also allowing gendered rape law to gather more support which mean men can't be raped by women further exacerbating this). Erin Pizzey who founded the women's shelters was threatened by the suffragettes because she thinks women can also abuse men. More recently there are a bunch of women's groups (no doubt some if not most are feminists) who sent an open letter supporting Amber Heard even if it's painfully obvious that she is abusive, and even some feminist group protested an ad to create a call center for abused men (and women technically) in Naples (something that wasn't there yet because of allowed misandry gendering help for dv victims).

Then there is the whole debacle of "toxic masculinity" where the term is intentionally used to victim blame male issues regarding gender role, shifting conversation from how society (men AND women) view men into how only men should gaslit themselves about how they feel society affects them and if they don't they're either toxic and/or misogynists. Add in the fact that their answer is the same labeling gender roll of positive masculinity™.

To answer your question, many here hate feminism because they claim they are the only way to achieve equality and any criticism of the movement is dismissed as misogyny and hatred. We dislike how they claim to also be for men only to gaslight, dismiss, and downplay male issues; while also be dismissive if not outright hostile of movements and events to support male rights. We despise the hypocrisy done with a masked moral superiority, and how they are willing to use their influence to suppress male rights as long as it gives women's rights.

TLDR: We don't hate women (some that do are the flip side of the coin from radical feminists), but many if not all of us are hostile to the idea of feminism because they suppress male rights and discontents as long as it helps female rights while masquerading as the only movement or way for gender equality.
