I think the thing is, media and propaganda is so biased towards justifying advantages for women that most people simply aren’t receptive to acknowledging men are discriminated against.

One thing I’m passionate about is how boys are discriminated against in education, the women’s educational act being a huge influence in this, yet most parents and even most teachers haven’t even heard of this legislation, let alone the biases against boys it entails.

Even in this sub, I routinely get challenged to provide examples of policies feminism won advantaging females, and when I provide examples, often with confirming links, it’s often met with either denial or claims males deserve to be discriminated against.

Society focus on the bad things a small percent of men do, blaming all men, while ignoring all the positive things men do for society, and similarly ignoring the ways men and boys are discriminated against. I think that’s the bottom line answer.

Yep, i think a lot of popular ideas around gender men and women are still traditional , despite our economy are already very much different from the traditional gender was construct , therefore there’s a lot of problems because ideas of gender and expectarions still stay the same as traditional ones, i am saying men’s are expected to keep more traditional than women in general.

It also seems like we are not able to be critical on double standards issue between men and women just because we are men and are the “powerful” one since beginning, but if physical strength is everything,

why aren’t the wealthy people are the strongest ?

Interesting. That's not really my experience. The woman who just laughs and dismisses it is rare. Maybe it's because, around men, there's a context of they know I don't think women are to blame for all of men's woes and I acknowledge where women and other oppressed groups are still at a disadvantage.

When they know that it's not a versus, and I mention men's rights, most of the women respond affirmatively.

Just my experience y'all. Downvote away I guess.

I have to ask if you are basing this purely on things you are reading on the internet or if you're actually asking people in real time. I am not going to be a dick and ask for proofs, i am just asking.

We need each other, we'll die out. I would suggest people start digging into what the anti-suffragettes wanted and what feminism is actually about. Purely thinking any "ism" is about equality, is an ignorant way to go about it.

The U.S. population needs to get its shit together on both fronts if we have any chance of our children having a solid way of life. We need to bring practicality back and hold our governments, both state and federal accountable. We have forgotten "We The People" and let our generations be railroaded by tolerance and greed.

All rights are good. I think there is a few bullshit battles that are not helping anything. Look women have historically been property and systematically repressed that’s horrible. Now there are also issues of men not going to college and being depressed and lonely.

The common thing I see is that when women gain rights men think they lose them. I don’t think that’s the case. I think more rights for everyone is better. Most of the losses that affect us are not feminism but late stage capitalism and the integration of technology.

Like the college thing I think is not men not wanting higher education but it’s expensive and often comes with financial baggage. We are becoming less economically stable and it’s only going to get worse. I don’t call that feminist I call that crony capitalism getting everything it can from workers.

I think we’re more lonely because we communicate mostly through screens. Younger people also have less sex than we did because of this. I’m getting old enough to say things like back in my day we just couldn’t sit at home with a screen. We went out. If you wanted to interact with friends you went places aged at those places there were other people out doing the same and you met people. I can’t imagine being a teen today and not being lonely.

Women I think say things like I don’t need a man because they don’t want to be treated as an inferior. I get that I don’t either and if someone suggested that I get married to be a house slave to a woman, I wouldn’t do it. I don’t think this statement means they don’t want any man but that they don’t want to be lesser.

I’ve interacted with a few feminists who are on the extreme end and I have certainly disagreed and been critical. However most women I’ve talked to haven’t been. They just want to be treated like other equal humans. I don’t blame them.

No one is stopping you from going out into the world and being a man. I think we are more likely to find middle ground and less toxic opinions face to face. On this thing we sometimes just say things and it’s not real life.

Hmm, well I don't know, have you maybe considered that women despise you because you were the #1 cause of their oppression for millennia? Surely if you mistreat a group that long, they would naturally despise you for a while, even after your rule over them ended.

Why is this such a difficult concept to understand?
