Generally though, if I ask a girl to a place, I'll be paying. Otherwise we'll split, maybe. Depends on the situation and our arrangement.

One of my favorite videos from old MGTOW YouTuber Barbarossaaaa is when he talks about commensurate compensation. This is one of those instances where the real question is if this man thinks that dropping all this money is -worth- the time to hang out with these women. Maybe he’s is wealthy. Maybe he is simping hard. Ultimately, that’s for him to figure out.

Nonetheless, shit like this is why men are weary about paying for women. Plenty of them have no compunctions about exploiting gender norms, even in a “we are just friends” scenario.

It sounds like your friends had an ultimate Stacy moment and were able to manipulate a guy into paying for hundreds of dollars of drinks. No accountability. He could have gone for someone less attractive who would be more appreciative and would treat him better. He also could have tried meeting women at places that aren’t nightclubs or bars. No accountability at all.

I’m tempted to bulldoze the entire discussion. I err on the side of paying. If she doesn’t text me back, it’s not because I paid or didn’t pay. It’s usually because she detected we weren’t a good fit. If we were a good fit , she wouldn’t care if I paid or not. This is all juvenile

for them to be this confident that he'd offer to pay then they already knew he'd pay, and he probably already knew he'd pay.

these type of outing and stuff are very transactional and traditional, girls get free drinks and the men get some nice company and fun.

It's ok if he wants to pay. Just had a chick ask me to buy her something I said no. Most men will get finnesed and scammed at some point in life hopefully the guy in this story gets some mentorship a spine a backbone some self respect and dignity. The only way in hell I'm paying for female for anything is if she's putting that azz up for collateral.

They come up with this brilliant plan to call the same guy, acting all like, “Hey, our treat this time” The guy shows up, and he still pays for everything. And the girls pay for literally nothing.
