I grew up almost entirely around striving UMC technocrats and i see a LITTLE of this but not a lot.

Ironically most manospherians here VASTLY underestimate how much most OTHER UMC men really really care about the pedigree of their LIFE partners and are willing to take hotness discounts on the women they marry. I went to an Ivy and then a top 10 MBA program and there were TONS of true Triple 6 dudes happily engaged to fairly plain box shaped women (who worked at McKinsey) compared to what they could pull if they just went for thots.

This means truly ambitious women actually do decently. No that doesn’t include pissy women with useless college degrees, but rather ACCOMPLISHED women.

That said, i do know a few very enterprising girls who want the hot simple guy who builds furniture and likes making gourmet fancy dinners. I DO think this is a good strategy for people who can RESPECT That man. I employ a similar one with girls in my life bc i find most UMC technocrats completely unfuckable personally.

My ex wife was one of those weird umc people, trust fund girl who did stupid horse dancing I can't remember shit and was training to try to do that gay horse dancing in the Olympics before getting seriously injured. She dated me because I'm hot and I dgaf about her. Plus she thought she was going to fix me. After we got divorced I was looking through our first messages online, I met her at a fun forum called pro ana suicide society, and the one where we really hit it off I was drunk and told her I wanted to choke her to death and watch her die. She flew out to meet me to go camping for a week and I had an axe on the back seat of my car hoping to get that fear going. Or, you know, the implications.

Anyway she couldn't fix me but I did it myself after the divorce.

Go for a blue collar guy with a career. He'll probably make more than you anyway, especially after you minus your student loans. Just don't try to fix anybody that never works

No. You say "women have their own money" but you only have your own money if you are working full-time and you're not working full-time if you have kids. So the question becomes how many high class woman, who're earning a good salary, wants to quit her job to have kids with a guy earning half of what she earned thus resulting in a massive drop in her living standards? The answer is not many. With female graduates massively outnumbering male graduates, I don't see the situation getting better.

I don't know how easy it is to push your hypergamous instinct aside, but I don't think majority of women could do that.

Women won't have to settle down for anybody . They will be able to sleep around and when they will want to have children they will be able to order some sperm from gigaChad online and get pregnant that way.

I think you are the exception. Most women want men at their education and income level, or above. And a regular job would mean that he has about as much time as you do for household affairs.

I tend to like highly educated people, not because I don’t respect trades or think educated people are better, but I tend to have more in common with people who have gone to college. I’m getting my masters and they tend to relate more to what I’m going through. I have tried dating some blue collar workers before and we didn’t have anything in common really. I have plenty of friends who are truck drivers or plumbers and their wives but I don’t know if I would be able to date them

This isn't going to happen with regularity until women hold >50% of very high earning white collar jobs. Men still make up the majority of the top earning jobs so wealthy women (both the ones that earn their own money and the ones born into wealth) don't have any incentive to date down.

I'm was born MC but I went to a highly ranked private uni and make a mid six figure salary at 27. It's really not that hard to find men who have similar levels of education and wealth as me. There's still far more male doctors, management consultants, software engineers, etc than their are women.

Ok so this is back in my college generation like 10 years or so ago. I knew like 20 medical degree holding women who expected to be easily making $100k-$200k or more after college.

Only 2-3 of these women are with guys who made comparable/more than them. Most married guys who made less, and about 5 are with guys who don't work at all. And I'm not like 'these are good stay at home dad' types, I'm talking about man children dead beat type of guys. None of the guys had a degree higher than any of the girls.

One of the hottest women from that group (easily an everyday/just got out of bed 8) married one of the fattest laid back dudes I've ever seen. Guy's prospects at the time were nonexistent - although he does ok now.

My general observation is women entering fields that make a lot (such as medical) don't seem to care about the income of their partners.

Its women who work to earn a lot (business women/lawyer women/etc) who care about the income/education/perception of their partners.

I know this is like 10 years out of date and might not apply today, but the situation with these high earning women is similar to your question.

For the next 10 years, I would say Yes, but only when its too late. The 33 year old marketing director will finally date a carpenter because its now or never.
