I love this video and channel. It was depicting highschool exchange students from 1950's to America, and they all state that American men and women spend too much time worrying about dating, relationships and sex, because they are so privileged to be able to do so (along with other things) "Americans are so free that they don't know what to do with their freedom"

Privilege is good, yes. Nobody will deny that having an upper hand in something is a bad thing. The issue arises when you have too much of it.

Men here state that women cannot and will not ever receive sympathy because they have a bunch of men wanting to have sex with them. Therefore, they are privileged, therefore their issues are only the cause of themselves. Period.

Men here do not see that "too much of something is never a good thing" and do not see how and where problems can evolve from that.

This can be flipped.

First world countries - such as Western society are obviously privileged compared to Third world countries and other places in the world. The fact that there are men so dissatisfied with their life due to sex can be seen as a privilege to men who have to serve in war, who are poor, who are worried about their next meal, who cannot go to school because they need to support their entire families -- not their next fuck. Same can be said for women, SJWs, etc. I heard once "When you know you are being oppressed, you are not actually oppressed" - came from a North Korean student who escaped and went to school in America.

While Western societies are privileged we are battling:

  • Obesity (too much of a good thing aka food)
  • Mental Health issues
  • Going to university to embark on a meaningless degree. (The fact that we have meaningless degrees, is already a given of privilege that other countries cannot fathom)
  • Individual Debt
  • Housing Crisis
  • Unemployment

There are obvious perks that come with privilege, but there are obvious downsides. By placing so much emphasis on the perks, you are incapable of understanding therefore have a closed mind. If you are a child of an immigrant, you will understand, as many immigrant parents do not sympathize with their childrens "first world problems" but it doesn't mean they are not problems.

The thread a few hours ago of "having so much options really isn't as bad as it seems" and reading the replies made me think of this and how misplaced anger there was a genuine lack of understanding or an unwillingness. This goes for women too and understanding men's problems. So don't bait me with that.

Edit: So far it's become apparent that many ppl here cannot hold decent conversations or engage in critical thinking.. let's see what tmr brings.
