For those that aren't familiar, horseshoe theory is the concept that the political spectrum is not linear. It theorizes that when you go as far to the political left as you can, you start bending back towards the political right and vice versa.

Despite the title, I didn't want to discuss politics with this post. My question is actually regarding "pedestalization." TRP often tells it's constituents to "take the pussy off the pedestal." One of the ways it reinforces this attitude is by disparaging women. There are lots of posts about how women are different. There are posts about how women are worse than men in certain areas. Many TRPers defend this by stressing the importance of taking the pussy off the pedestal. They say that guys new to TRP need to lower women to their own level.

However whenever I read some of these threads on TRP, I wonder if horseshoe theory applies to the concept of the pussy pedestal. So many threads on TRP focus almost exclusively on women and the behavior of women. With the forum so hyper-focused on women, does TRP create an inverse pussy pedestal? Could this inverse pussy pedestal have similar effects to the normal pussy pedestal?

One of the drawbacks of the original pussy pedestal is that men view women as unobtainable, almost alien. However the same could be said of the inverse pussy pedestal. It focuses on the differences between men and women so much that women seem like another species. Is this inverse pussy pedestal attitude just as detrimental to approaching women? It seems like both the pussy pedestal and the inverse pussy pedestal could cause an irrational fear of women.
