I can't think of any studies that will objectively put women's standards and mate preferences on blast like that (most of them are catered toward appeasing the public that it will be released to, like the "average dick size" studies), but if you think about this from a strictly logical perspective, it makes sense.

The average in this case will be higher, or result in a more attractive man that the median would, since the median is lining up all men and picking out the one in the middle which is likely to result in a rather plain-looking, possibly schlubby dude, whereas the average is skewed by the extremes to be further along the bell curve.

Average > Median is a right-skewed distribution, which means a minority has a lot of sex and a majority has sex less than the average. That's not an unreasonable claim IMO because: 1. Dead bedrooms occur in about third of marriages, 2. A minority of women allow sex with no restrictions, 3. A minority of men have pretty high libido.

This gives a pretty good look at the median as opposed to the average. The average sexual partners is 8 for men and 7 for women. According to this study (based only on the US) the median comes to 4-6 partners for both genders (of strictly heterosexuals) so yes, the median is lower because people with over 50+ etc skews the average.

It's not very politically correct as they don't want to release or say anything that contributes to red pill or incel talking points. I suspect that is part of why OK Cupid doesn't release the same kind of stats they used to.

Furthermore measuring the amount of sex people have is prone to error and lying so it won't be easy to objectively prove it.

That said, like others have mentioned the average is more prone to being skewed by extremes so it's really not that hard of a sell to say the average man has more sex than the median man.

What will be met with more aprehension is saying that the median woman has had more sex than the median man although I suspect that is true as well.

A great amount of men only have sex and even loose their virginity thanks to escorts, if prostitution was completely abolished worldwide you'll have a lot of virgin men (more than now) This idea than an average looking guy can go to a bar every weekend and get laid with a different woman is just nonsense
