Yeah, I’ve used ‘we’ and many other women have - but I hardly see it in the contexts you’re describing and often when ‘we’ is used it is used in cases where interests lie in a larger group dynamic… such as rights and having to maintain them, or something universal like… not wanting unconsentual sexual advances

Someone has to try and explain women to you. We can feel like no one is listening.

So what if she thinks she speaks for all women. Pay attention. Perhaps she will teach you something. I never met a man or woman who could not learn by listening harder.

What about the things like hypergamy, manipulative women and self interest garbage that comes out of TRP? It is awful tiring hearing from men what we are like. Do you think we might have some idea?

I use we to indicate that I'm putting myself in the group I'm referencing.

Like if I say "we can get cravings for red meat during our periods because of lower iron," I'm adding myself to the group of women who get cravings.

It's just cause reddit is anonymous and people keep assuming I'm a man if I don't do it.

On the internet I basically understand "we" at this point as "myself and the self-selected group of people I interact with regularly."

I have seen both men and women do this. "We're attracted to XYZ." "We don't care about XYZ." And a lot of times they leave me scratching my head because what they say does not fit what I experience or witness in my day-to-day life.

I haven't noticed that myself. I think it's definitely a bit contradictory, but still not the same as men acting like they know what all women want. Like one individual woman isn't going to know what all women want, but she'd have a better idea than most men.
