I do not care about this issue, but it's not currently illegal for men to wear leggings or skirts. Bike shorts are short leggings. I've seen many a man in a kilt (either utilikilt or Scottish). Just because most men don't doesn't mean men can't. Also, as I understand it, woman wanting to go topless want to be able to go topless in the instances men do--so at the beach or the pool primarily, or possibly while exercising (though that's less likely since support is needed).

I think people misunderstand why we have social norms like these, it's totally unrelated to sexism. It's just a sense of common decency. I could also try to reject certain social norms but I ain't gonna get a job when I shout "ACCEPT MY MASSIVE BEARD!" at my future employer when I'm at a job interview.

I'm all for more female toplessness, but this whole "issue" is just a red herring. Many times I have asked women if you could go topless or braless or wear a see through top would you? And the answer is always the same - no! never! I would feel too self-conscious!

The biggest impediment to acceptance of female toplessness isn't any law - it's women's own prudishness. Look at all the green states

Lol wtf. Since when men and women are equal biologically? They are different and, in particular, that difference will be seen if they are topless.

They don't want equal treatment and never wanted to. I won't believe they do until I see feminist groups protesting scholarships for women, quotas in director boards etc. They want equal outcome.. They only want equal treatment if it's beneficial to them, if not - then no.

This kind of thing really goes over my head. Literally why does anyone care. Is it uncomfortable or restrictive to wear a t-shirt? No. So what are they bitching about? It's the most trivial thing. Men might as well be up in arms that it's socially unacceptable for them to wear a hijab.
