Honest opinion: I don't believe it.

The guy spends two years in depression on reddit talking about unfavorable divorce laws, how men should be allowed to get a "financial abortion" and now this post... and he still claims he never had a look at TRP? And the "counselor" he describes sounds like a fantasy. "Let's imagine the worst possible thing that could happen."

For years she didn't want the slightest bit of sex, she hit him in public, always pushed him away - but of course now she's turned into a fucktoy?

He lays it on a bit too thick to be believable.

So, even more honest opinion: It's some alt account with the sole purpose of making attention-seeking posts. Would explain the huge gaps in the posting history and the fact that he has no "normal" posts in there at all. It's all suicide, drinking, abusive wife, ...

Maybe I'm wrong and that would make me an asshole, but to me it's just too far out to believe. If it is true, the whole relationship does not sound healthy at all. It still doesn't, even after the changes that happened. Something is way off about this.

We don't have enough info. She could just be having an affair. What's RP about that? It's pretty well known that a married couple's sex life will often pick up when one of them starts cheating.

Here's an interpretation: They had marital problems. He checked out of the marriage. She started cheating on him. To compensate for this, she fucks him more often now (which happens a lot with cheaters). He could absolutely be convinced that the "No Fucks Given" approach worked, but it really didn't.

I would love to hear her side of it, but asking her would automatically cause her to edit and temper her response (human nature).

I would love to read someone's throwaway about their relationship and then read their spouse's throwaway from their perspective and compare the two. I think it would go a long way toward illuminating actual human nature as opposed to just guessing at what it may be and why (or even if) certain strategies worked.

It literally took him years of dead bedroom to start focusing on his own mentality and physicality.

If my husband stops wanting to fuck me, my first thoughts are:

1 He's cheating. Lol...
2 I'm not as attractive as I used to be or I'm not turning him on for whatever reason.

I will try to rectify both of those.

There's such a thing as a libido lowering drug ? Anyway, it doesn't sound like a healthy marriage in general but I can't be sure because I don't know them.

I think this works in some cases, and in others, the wife just feels jilted and the relationship falls apart and either becomes a statistic or an RP story that has a different explanation of the woman's actions (e.g., she was pining after some Chad). There's even this post where the husband is trying to apply this, but the woman is hating it. It is true that being and pleading will not cure a dead bedroom. Most people on that sub feel the correct course of action is to break up.

She probably thinks he's playing around and is trying to keep him. Two people this self centered aren't going to last.
