Some women are specifically looking for a man to take care of them. They don't expect to work at all and just be taken care of.
Had a friend dating someone he thought was the one she 'lost her job' and was about to lose her place so he said she could stay with him until she found a new job.
She didn't do shit, not even cleaning, not cooking, nothing to help out. She expected to not only not work but have him do everything. He packed up all her stuff and her and dropped her off at her mom's house and broke up with her tight then and there.
We're both in our 50s, he was married before I was but divorced he when, as he put it "the pussy dried up". Basically she didn't want to have sex anymore. She said he never really liked it. Back then the term asexual didn't exist, but we both think she was one. What made him made was, according to him, she fucked like a porn star until he put a ring on her.
He's never been married since and refuses to live together. says he's been burned twice and he has no idea to make it a third time.

There's nothing wrong with a woman looking for a man to take care of them (and vice versa though that's more rare) so long as everyone is up front about it, expectations are laid out on the table up from the beginning and she doesn't delude herself into believing he has an obligation to abide by his end of whatever arrangement they have if she up and decides to changes the rules somewhere down the road.
My wife and I have known plenty of couples over the years who've mutually opted for the traditional man as the bread winner woman as full time homemaker and mom situation who've had long happy marriages. The ones that have gone bad always did so because the woman incorrectly figured that she had her hooks in him so deep that she could flip the script and start making demands and dictating the terms of the relationship without consequences.

I remember being set up on a date years ago before I met my wife, the woman was absolutely beautiful, an aspiring actress, not famous but did a few commercials. During dinner I discovered she didn't have a steady job, didn't have a car, and lived with her mother. Strike one, two and three. When the date, which was pleasant, was over she asked me to call her, I said sure and lost her number. I wasn't interested in supporting a dreamer who lived with her mother and would need me to do all the driving.
I also wouldn't expect some rich woman to be looking for me either. Although I made a decent living I didn't consider myself "rich" at all. That's just the way the real world works.
