This is also another issue though. Men will ALWAYS do more than women, in the EXACT same job and for the EXACT same pay.

OK, so, I'm working abroad, electrical installation on a construction site, from ground up. So, the deal here is - men are doing their fights in the dark. Feminists don't complain about getting a position in a 100% male dominated field, with good pay, but as a trade off you're dusty every day, you're tired, you're in danger and you don't see your kid for months. They complain upwards, to better jobs, with little hassle.

Additionally, if you've spent any amount of time in any industrial setting, you'd know that "we have tools" is a joke. Deadlines need to be met, and often there is room for half of you, let alone the machine at a spot you should work at.

I am in the german Army for 5 years now.

I was stationed where basic training is the whole year. After 3 years there (in different positions and ranks) I saw a handfull of woman, who could carry their own equipment without problems.

But I saw atleast a hundred that couldnt.

I was quite frustrated to come in after a physical test and missing gold time by 20 seconds and seeing two Women come in 6 MINUTES LATER and still getting gold.

Or all of the marches with 2 backpacks, two weapons or just all the extra equipment, so you dont give them too much.

I came in after a 36 hour practice with 60 kms on my feet, a MG3 over my shoulders (completly red and bloody already) and my instructors all complemented the 2 woman in our group that didnt need to give their backpack away.

Guess who didnt need to clean on friday, because the Battalionscommander wanted to talk to them for their great endurance.

I saw tough women here, but sadly, this is really not the norm...

Please explain how that is emotional tripe? A woman is at a much higher risk of long term health problems, disfigurement, and death from reproduction than men. I think most women have the right to not die unnecessarily and against their will for an unborn person they do not want. Just as neither man nor woman should be forced to emotionally or financially support a child they were coerced into having (as in, birth control sabotage, rape, lying about fertility status)

Furthermore, some countries require enlistment of every able bodied citizen regardless of gender (Israel iirc?) And I think that's an absolutely wonderful idea. As long as we pair it with free healthcare and free college education (that's a whole different argument though)

Also, your issue isn't with the mother, in the case of financial responsibility for an unwanted child. It is with the government. The government doesn't care if you wanted the kid, and it doesn't care if the kid is yours (in some cases), as long as the government can make someone else pay for that child, the government couldn't care less about their citizens. That should change.

I cannot speak for the whole of women, but I've never met a woman that felt that way at all. Between 2011 and 2014, there were 7,208 deaths that were reported to the CDC that occurred for women within a year of the end of their pregnancy. Out of this there were 2,726 that were found to be pregnancy-related deaths

That's 2.726 deaths out of slightly over 15 million ~~pregnancies~~ live births. 0.02%. It gets even lower if you account for all pregnancies (births + abortions)

If you include health complications both short and long-term resulting from pregnancy (what is called Severe Maternal Morbidity), the rate barely reaches 1.25%. (Again, only accounting for roughly 4 million live births per year, even lower if you include interrupted pregnancies)

I didn't just write death. There are many long term complications arising from pregnancy. Tearing, scarring (both in varying degrees of severity), prolapse, incontinence, loss of sex drive, anxiety, depression, psychosis, PTSD are not uncommon side effects for a normal vaginal birth.

For C-sections the complications are much higher, there are infections of the incision, blood clots, risk of uterine rupture, risk if scar tissue adhering to the abdominal wall and internal organs, etc.

No woman will make it through childbirth unchanged physically or mentally. The hormones involved can change your mind permanently.

Now factor in that history shows that making abortion illegal will not stop abortion, it will simply make the procedure a life threatening one performed by amateurs with no proper medication or equipment.

Not if they voluntarily wanted to, if they did not want children at that time (or ever). You don't get to plan a child and then change your mind once your partner is pregnant or once the child is born and you figure out kids aren't what you wanted.

At the very least, that’s a severely cynical way of hiding the real reason for most abortions: convenience and unaccountability.

I think you're thinking about the person you replied to before me, my original comment to you wasn't about anything other than that the things a woman's body goes through isn't the same as the financial and emotional responsibilities that will be shared by both parents.

I don't know which is better or worse or how you would analyze that on a case by case basis to figure it out. They just aren't comparable.

I actually firmly believe that abortion is wrong, I wouldn't ever choose to end a pregnancy unless the baby wouldn't be viable but would kill me. If there was a chance my baby would live, I would take that chance. I've already faced a future with a severely disabled child and I faced it with a smile that at least she was alive and with me so even severe disabilities wouldn't convince me to abort.

I also firmly believe that my opinion on the matter isn't important enough to take that choice away from other people.

I know what you mean about mental issues and other complications. Again, I don’t object abortions. I simply don’t like people (I don’t mean you are doing this) pissing on my leg and telling me it’s raining. People want abortions because it’s an open second chance after a screw up. Whether it’s an accident or utter irresponsible behavior. At least they should be honest and defend it as such.

Just to be clear, I think the law is bullshit. As I said, I’m not against abortion, I’m against the flimsy arguments being used, mostly because they are the same arguments being used to justify that, since men don’t have the same consequences, they don’t “deserve” the same bodily autonomy.

Quite frankly, it’s gonna be a lot of work. MRM involves a lot more nuance than feminism catchy slogans and shock-and-awe posters.

Erin Pizzey has interesting insight about the myths of Domestic Violence, for example. She opened the first UK women shelter.

Cassie Jaye is a documentary maker that has done several women’s issues docs and recently one about the MRM. It’s called “the red pill”.

She did an interview with Michele Carroll a few weeks ago where she talks a lot about her journey in understanding the MRM and how feminism opposes it. I think seeing the reaction feminist groups had against her “movie” would speak lots about what I said about how “get organized” can be a very hypocritical response to men’s plights that feminists often resort to.

It’s important not to confuse Red Pill (the movie) with Red Pill (the movement). That movement can be a bit of a cesspool of angry misogynists camouflaged among some who want to help men better navigate a world that has arguably stacked the deck against them.

What I’m trying here is dismantling the narrative that it is about women’s “health” or about “oppression”.

The reason I know nothing about modern feminists is because my grandma warned me away from them before I even knew what they were. She used to be an original feminist along with her mother and said that the original movement was about choices. Everybody deserved choices and women weren't getting them back then.

She says modern feminism is revenge for the time before we had rights and from what you say, I'd say she's right.

I will definitely be checking those people out when I get up. Thank you for the conversation, it's not often that you find someone online that you can debate a topic with without it dissolving into insults and I'm excited to learn more about the men's rights movement.

It definitely sounds like something I can get behind and hopefully one day really soon, men and women will be fighting together for our rights to choose.

The social media shit-storm would be glorious to see if they reinstituted a coed draft. They fought for it so women are now allowed combat roles and positions on the front line just like the rest of us.

Watching influencers, models, activists, and the meme worthy feminists getting their numbers punched to fight would be like nothing else we've ever experienced:

When the boots of idyllic fantasy meet the cold, hard concrete of reality there will be a flood of mental breakdowns and tears.

Within a week, we'd see new laws getting slammed through Congress as the spoiled daughters of the ultra rich get sent to boot camp.

In month, the activists and influencers would be calling an end to war (not because they really want it, but because they're afraid of dying) and posting clips of themselves crying as they're taken away for training.

The hardcore male and female feminists who cried nonstop about privilege and patriarchy would be losing their minds, backtracking their points while happily eating crow. Whatever it takes to avoid putting their actual asses on the line, now that they can't hide behind a screen.
