Honestly, ignore those yucky people telling you it's not normal.

I'm european, I've lived half my life in asia and spent most of my money traveling the world, I have been to so many many homes as a guest and I honestly love being invited by people like you.

When people in america told me that I don't have to take off my shoes ... :(

Pretty much anywhere else in the world people take off their shoes when entering a home, even in the provinces of the philippines they have cleaner broomed bamboo huts than an american home.

Bonus points if you have those fancy slippers racks for guests to wear.

Please keep doing what you're doing, this site is mostly american but just know that the rest of the world has your back, american homes are fucking filthy and it's perfectly normal to take off your shoes when entering a home.

No it wasn't about shoes at all. I was trying to make a point about the fact that some cultures in the world do this and some don't.

We should respect that choice even though some cultures like the French don't. I personally ask if I have to take of my shoes when visiting people. In my business I know a lot of vietnamese people and they always remove their shoes.

The point is that when it comes to culture and it's obvious people are very carefull. But now when the culture is kind of hidden behind a hygiene thing people go full out blasting with how disgusting I am.

You judge "my" culture. Which means that most of the responses I get and make are racist lol.

You would not have said this if I told you I must not take of my shoes because of my culture. You them would respect it. But you and most people can't see further then the hygiene thing.

Agreed. In the 90’s, my friends and I used to take cap guns and do fake drive by shootings with poor innocent people who were just trying to enjoy strolls (yes, we even painted the ends black instead of red, because damn kids). We would also follow other cars until they ended up at the police station or we got bored. How we never got turned in to the cops is beyond me.

Bonus: one summer we were bored so we found a bunch of black widow spiders and had them fight each other in a champagne glass, 2 at a time. We had a tournament bracket and everything. They all had names. I remember Oprah was the clear winner. Then we threw her into a disturbed red ant colony.

So yes, we were all stupid teenagers at one point. I’m just glad we didn’t have readily accessible cameras to incriminate our dumbass selves back then.

The anti-feminist crowd is getting weirder and weirder, and I consider myself anti-feminist.

It seems like we’re criticizing feminists for being so quick to respond, violently or otherwise, to simple human interactions. But then we turn around and stoop to that level, so that everyone is sensitive and on-edge all the time. And whenever somebody calls something out, like I dunno, assaulting a girl in the mall for touching your fucking arm, somebody else just says “but le roles reversed!!!! Society bad!!” or oversimplifies something like a crime taking place. Like several comments in this thread that say this girl was literally attacking the dude, and that brings us full circle to doing exactly what we criticize feminists for doing.

It’s just a really childish way to justify not acting like a normal human being. “Well if THEY don’t have to then neither do we, that’s not fair >:(“
