When women give their husbands a "honey do list" it makes me think they are giving him a list of things that they could just do themselves, but don't feel like for whatever reason.

It is perfect...and kudos for being brave enough to post Christian infused posts. We need to stop judging people automatically over "religious" grounds and focus on the content...if the Christianity, Islamic, or Judaic stuff doesn't do anything for you...leave it and take the other stuff in.

Never go to a book... To fix the problems with your marriage. Instead go to God's word.

Then she quotes the bible. Lolz. If you take the religion out it's good advice though.

Don’t put your husband on the defensive. For example, if you are driving around a section of town looking for a restaurant and he’s obviously lost, does it really help for you to tell him that he’s been going around the same block for the fifth time?

I see this happening sooo many times in my family - getting lost and becoming anxious, paranoid and pointing out useless things.

In those occasions only talk if I have something valuable to say or to make funny remarks on the place because I know it helps to laugh over these things. Otherwise I shut up and try to figure it out.

Aside that I read here a while ago that religious women had figured it out, and those who follow these advices totally have. They skipped the "I'm a strong indipendent woman" part and they kept their hubbies happy.

5 stop expecting him to let you down the way your dad let down your mom. This struck a particular cord with me. I worry unnecessarily even though my dad and my SO are obviously very different.

My husband gives himself a long to do list and it stresses him out.

I'm constantly reminding him how much he has achieved around the house since we bought it, but he seems to focus on the fact that he wants to do this this and this.. Oh and this, and this..

Any ideas on how to take the pressure off of him? We can only do things at a pace which our budget allows so I hate to see him stressing out when he need not.

Loved this list! Of all the lists posted recently this is my favorite. I can really see how these can help build a stronger relationship.
