I only went on dates with men that understood I was looking for something long-term. I also made a point to bring this up on a first date, just to be clear. Not in a heavy, mood-killing way. It was always really easy for me to be clear about my intentions while being fun.

The term is not something I take lightly, as it describes a woman that has forever been damaged by a man due to how attractive she found him and how crazy she was about him. His shadow forever looms over everything, and women can have an extremely hard time creating a healthy relationship after being alpha widowed.

From what you've described, you just have the hots for a guy you know you should have avoided from the start.
