There is a comment there someone saying she dated alllll kinds of men and they were all horrible communicators and treated her like shit. It’s those comments that are so ironic to me. The hypocrisy is so blatantly obvious. Are ALL men horrible and treat women terribly? OF COURSE NOT! But If all the guys you’re dating (picking) are like that than clearly you’re the issue. These men are not so different after all and the common denominator is the person dating them. A lot of women are drawn to emotional unavailable men (though they don’t realize it) and make generalizations that all men are like that.

Feminism is about equality between men and women. Shitting on men for existing and blaming all of life’s problems on them is not what feminists originally wanted. It’s sexist and it’s not helpful to either men or women.

People just get so blinded by their own personal experiences they cannot take a look at the bigger picture. Or they just want to victimize themselves and vilify men.

if people weren’t so hateful we would all be a lot happier.

So I watched the vid. That women is emotionally damaged. She may have come by that honestly, I don't know, but regardless, her vid is basically Orwell's "Two Minutes HATE."

And this: "Women's loneliness matters more." This tells you everything you need to know about that group - they are narcissists with zero empathy or accountability.

I wouldn't bother visiting anyway or the various other groups - a friend of mine who used to read FDS pinged me that I got mentioned there. Me: "So? They just aren't my demo. Why would I care?"

Fascism is coming from the Left this time. They do not want to debate, they simply want people who disagree with them even 1% to be silenced and punished. There is no point to engaging with them.

Something I appreciate about RPW is that women are advised not to settle, to have reasonably high expectations, and to stay single instead of having situationships with undeserving men. There are other “more feminist” movements that suggest the same thing (different qualifiers, same premise).

And what’s the key here? It’s agency and autonomy.

I have a friend who married and a complete loser of a man. He is ungrateful, financially dependent on her, and mean (among other worse things, I could go on). She had every opportunity in the world to choose better or work on herself and stay single until she was confident enough to choose better - she didn’t take it.

I know it’s a bit corny to say, but you play stupid games and win stupid prizes.

Two qualifiers: - There are women who are genuinely blindsided by men. I’m not talking about them and most men don’t blindside. They tell you who they are and what they want upfront and women stick around in the hopes they’ll change. - I’m also not talking about men who sexually, emotionally, financially or physically abuse women.

And I can understand why women in the two qualifier categories may have trauma and fear of men in general.

I'd like to just break down the video itself and the flaws it bears:

She begins saying she's a survivor of narc abuse, then references an article "Single men are lonely in record numbers" This is important.
She says, "I can't speak for all women but I can speak for myself." Then proceeds to say more than two dozen times, "WE are done..." . Immediately she does speak for all women.
Saying "We are done with men who gaslight us" on its own isn't such a bad phrase because you're making a statement about a minority of men that engage in such behaviour, not all men, and it's an obvious statement that everyone can agree with.
But... the video began with referencing an article about ALL single men, to which she says, "let me explain", the proceeds to say "we are done with men..." characterizing negative traits more than two dozen times. In the second half the video devolves into a war between the group identities of men vs. women when she says "We [women] have leveled up. When are you [men] going to level up?" Doesn't seem so isolated anymore. It really is a thinly-veiled, bitter video bashing a huge majority of single men if not all single men.
Classically, she thinks having a great career makes her more attractive to men. I can assure you that having a great career and a terrible attitude is far worse than a typical career with a pleasant personality.
Continuing the last point, when she said, "we leveled up," I wonder if she's leveled up in the lens of what she admires in men and not what men admire in women.
Says she's being compared to every other woman and completely ignoring the other side. Women, as the selectors, are far pickier and choosier with their partners. Most men are invisible to her, they don't even have the privilege of "being compared to" because they are considered worthless for not meeting a list of expectations.
If this has been her experience with men, you have to ask why she is ending up with only these kinds of men?
Accountability: she is ending up with problematic low-quality guys, that don't care about her, or use her etc. = a pattern. You must ask A) why does she keep choosing these guys and B) why is she not attracting the guys she desires?
Ends off with a patronizing, "and I'm so sorry if you feel lonely"

We might be missing some context here, there could be more merit to her situation if it's an individual situation only about her and her relationship with a narcissist. Sure, fine. But she seems to be on a tirade about men in general speaking on behalf of all women.

I hear your thoughts but I don’t see how they counter the post you’re talking about. It’s mainly a group of younger women, so they aren’t the ones raising these men. And her point was that because many women aren’t willing to put up with subpar men, more men are lonely than before. And this is a good thing, honestly. Not that men are lonely, or that women are single when they don’t want to be. But it’s a good thing that women aren’t rewarding poor behavior and low qualities in men. (Men should do the same for poor behavior and low qualities in women.) Choosing a man like the men the OP in that post was describing would not be aligned with RPW at all.

Some sub-reddits dwell on audacious outrage and self-righteously venting outrage. If you support the outrage you're part of team-outrage, if you are a mild source of outrage by having some contrarian opinion, then you are adding to the outrage storm which may be tolerated, but if you come to close to the sun and make people feel bad for being outraged, then you are censored/banned. Well, this is not surprising and it doesn’t apply solely on the subjects of male/female relations. Social networks have become very toxic, people will come at you as an angry mob regardless of the subject at hand. Politics-you get burned if your opinion is only slightly different to the opinions of the group. Sports? Same. Religion? Same. Sexuality? Same.

Basically, these applications and their algorithms encourage toxicity. They are designed to work this way.

What's really scary about this is a lot of these women probably have sons. I have a recently turned 18 year old son. Who is amazing & kind & respectful & would do anything for me or his little sisters. The world's a hard enough place without your own mum believing males are not deserving of sympathy or compassion. That's the way to raise a male who will have zero compassion for those around them. Its a self fulfilling prophecy.

Full text: In all fairness, I was leaving them anyway because I no longer align with most of their views, but also being a multifaced and complex person, I don't take sides 100% because life is complicated and the wisdom is often in the gray. I like to keep an open mind so I kept them around. Recently, someone made a post linked to a woman who had been cheated on by a man I think, or otherwise abused. The title of the post was "On single men being lonely. a possible response." And she rightly stated that women were no longer putting up with abuse. Amen to that! I didn't have an issue with that. But the comments.... were so vicious and severe. Many of them just lacked even a pinch of empathy for men. Someone else similar to me posted about women not taking accountability at times for the parts that they play. 100s of downvotes. I agreed and said something akin to, "yes and women are the ones mostly raising boys, who are brought up to be emotionless and then these boys grow up and lack emotional intelligence, unlike girls who are trained to be in tune with their feelings and not called sissies for it." that post disappeared. Then in response to something that someone else, "90% of crimes would disappear if men were disappeared/banned/obselete (cant remember the word but along these lines)" and I said, VER BATIM, this attitude is extreme. Downvoted to high hell. Someone referred to me as having "a dump of a brain." Not once did I insult anyone. Go and see for yourselves!

While it may be true that men commit a majority of crime, no one is looking at the context behind that and that was my point. But before I could defend myself.... banned. I wish I could say that I was surprised. Im not. Im sad. No one wants to hear another opinion anymore. It's like everyone backs into their respective corners and spits at anyone who maybe holds a more complex view. I just wish we could hear each other out! I think any faction or group really should be careful about black and white thinking and not allowing discourse. I think its dangerous, even in this group where "no feminism" is allowed. I respect it but its like.... if discussion is moderated and civilized, why ban it? What happened to free speech and the ability to agree to disagree? We have lost that art and it hurts my heart. Anyway, just coming to vent a little.
