No solution for you, but I feel the exact same way!!! Sometimes I wear a matching set of PJs/loungewear to feel cuter, or I just throw a sweater on top of a dress. Not my favorite thing to do, but you gotta do what you gotta do

I’ve been pairing my midi dresses with leggings or tights underneath, warm tall socks, slippers, a thin shirt underneath, and a sweater overtop! Sometimes I throw on a linen robe to add warmth without pulling out the pajama robe. Linen looks a bit more put together than fuzzy Pooh bear

I feel you. My partner has a preference for us both sleeping naked and I put my layers on in winter. He always comments on it XD but I think he dislikes all clothes in bed, even cute ones.

If you want to try cut down the number/thickness of layers I would recommend 100% wool thermals - wool leggings and a wool top make winter much nicer for me. I put them on underneath other layers and wear them to bed, they're not bulky, only problem is the bugs chew them up in storage.

Slap some leg warmers over leggings or velvet shorts and thigh socks with a cute, thick oversized open sweater. I also love those knee high grippy boot socks.

Or invest in some liners that folks use for skiing…they’re usually silk or some new angled high tech fabric…very thin & you can wear them under anything else to provide warmth without the bulk 🤷‍♀️

I feel you, OP, I'm just like you, heat-wise. Like, it has to be at least 75 degrees in the house before I'll wear short sleeves at all. I'll do anything for love ,🎶🎶...but I won't be cold.

I usually wear fleece black leggings, tight long -sleeve T shirt/top (cotton or thin wool when it's very cold) a big wool cardigan, and often wool socks. The cutesy little dresses are for the summer months.

Off topic - there are a LOT of health issues that could cause someone to be cold that wouldn't show up on routine bloodwork. Heck, not even all thyroid issues will show up on basic b*tch thyroid testing. Mine is Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, and there are many others. If it's significantly impacting your quality of life (sounds like it) I think it'd be worth it to go track down some specialists. I'd recommend Googling "what conditions cause you to feel cold all the time" and then see if you happen to have any other symptoms lining up with the suggestions to decide on a specialist to see first.

Full text: This might sound silly. But I live in the UK in a house build in 1901. It’s always cold and I would love to wear cute sleeveless and strappy dresses all day. But it’s just completely unrealistic. I end up wearing thick fluffy pjs with fuzzy socks and my robe. Makes me feel sloppy and look like an eyesore. Pairing this with naturally feeling cold all the time normal (have got blood work done and docs say I’m fine). Even wearing leggings and a cute jumper. It’s. Still. So. Cold. Do I need to amend my expectations? Told my husband if he wants me to wear cute stuff at home to pay for the constant heating running 😂 any suggestions?
