I guess that what I'm about to write doesn't apply to most of you, as the majority here is straight. The problem is, if I would bring it up in any other LGBT related sub, any attempts of a reasonable discussion will be undermined, or my ass will be blocked right away.

Lets get to the topic. The very familiar concept of the wall is reasonable for most straight women, and as a gay woman, I was thinking whether or not this can also apply to non-straight folk. I can only speak about what I have witnessed over the years, so I might be wrong. Feminism has promoted promiscuity among straight people, women in particular, and it's much more prevalent in the LGBT community, as things like pregnancy and family planning isn't always the top priority. Also, short-term relationships are far more common than long-term relationships. Interestingly enough, I have observed a trend of lesbians in their 30's still being single (or sharing their lives with cats), becoming increasingly depressed as time passes. Many of them lack the willingness to take care of themselves (a lot of middle-aged women are ardent supporters of the "fat acceptance" movement) and have a history of mental issues and/or alcohol/substance abuse. With that being said, there seem to be more similarities to the "straight" version of the wall.

Perhaps some of you have lesbian/bi friends and have made similar observations? Thank you for reading and I hope this topic can stay in RPW.
