This sub focuses on self-improvement, establishing (or maintaining) LTRs/marriages. We strive to improve our physical appearances, but the real work takes place on how we think, behave, and interact. You're not saying anything profound, but you are stating it in an unnecessarily vulgar way.

Your average teenager/woman these days goes to class and counts likes on their FB/Instagram/whatever. Maybe some gossip here and there with the girlfriends, but that's about it. Of course, this is the same average girl who can't hold a conversation to save her life and will "hey", "haha" and "lol" you.

If you've spent any amount of time on this sub, or in the chatroom, then you should already know that this isn't a problem we perpetuate.

Women don't have to be intelligent to get what they want, yes.

Intelligence is different from entitlement. The flaws that often go along with highly educated/liberal women is a problem, but improving her mind doesn't mean a woman is doomed to living life as an unbearable shrew. There are many ladies here that are in school, have rewarding jobs and still manage to keep their SO's a top priority.

So do something: read books, watch decent films, read the news, learn a new skill, anything really.

I see you've missed the various discussions we've had in the past on the subject of hobbies and living a fulfilling life.

I think your motivation comes from a mostly well-meaning place, but you come off as angry and condescending. What exactly prompted you to come here and leave this post? Are you frustrated with women in general, or a specific one in your life? Do you believe that this is in any way an original concept to the users on this sub?

Hobbies are good to have, but I think it's going far to say this is very important, and the reason men stay around. Men could care less whether or not you knit. On the other hand if you're feminine and good to look at men will kind of enjoy any hobby you might have. Not as a reason to keep you, but as something extra he can brag to his friends about (as long as you're decent at it).

I know we like to harp on elitestly about this but its a serious problem and has a very real reason for it -- its immediate positive validation and the whole way its designed is to be made to be VERY addicting. Most women, or heck, people, wont be able to fight it and if they do itl take mental energy. My suggestion: dont play the game at all. You really don't need it if your living a life with a purpose and I guarantee you things WILL improve. If you dont believe me try 1 week without it, then 2 weeks if you liked it or never if u dont.

The suggestions you pointed out are good and many will take them but itll be short lived, they'll quickly fall back into their old patterns because those activities dont bring enough validation as FB/insta/whatever else.

Dont get a hobby to be attractive. Hobbies happen because you enjoy/love something and take an interest in it. Being passionate about something is what matters.

I can read a very dull list of all the hobbies ive tried but its the couple of things im passionate about that will ever make me a more interesting person.
