This past weekend my boyfriend and I were driving to a restaurant to meet with his family. Since we were in a time crunch, I decided to put "quick" makeup on in the car. After I was finished putting on my makeup, he just looked at me and said "You know, you're beautiful without makeup on, but I truly appreciate that you like to put yourself together. Even times when you know we're going to be staying at home all day, I like it that you still get ready and put makeup on."

This made me feel SO good about myself. Now, I'm not here to say that all women need to learn how to contour/buy makeup at Sephora/wear foundation every day. However, I think it's important to at least be "put together" for the day and have a good skincare routine. My man has never complained about my beauty maintenance, which I think encourages me even more to look good for him. I've seen a lot of my friends in relationships that just let themselves go and they just stop wearing makeup/eat whatever they want/stop working out.

I've been adding a little more of RP in my life and in my relationship. Sometimes it's just the little things that can boost your relationship. It's definitely paying off :)
