If you didn't have intercourse (or any other styles of sex where sperm could have gotten near your vaginal opening) around your ovulation point, then you're not pregnant. Most common cause of a delayed cycle is a stressful event causing delay of ovulation, and consequently delay of menstruation. Other causes could include development of PCOS or other hormonal irregularities.

I highly, highly, highly recommend the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility to better understand your own body, cycles, and what variances mean. Doesn't matter how much you think you know - that book will teach you something.

There's lots of things that can affect the cycle. I've gone 5 months without a period before, while completely abstinent. Things like stress, vaccination, heavy exercise, and low weight can also affect the cycle. If you haven't had sexual activity in a long time, you don't have to be worried about being pregnant. How old are you?

Full text: 7 days from now. Didn't have intercourse in a long time and I have been very regular on the periods so this for me is an abnormal situation. I have my doubts on go the gynecologist yet so I want to ask to the ladies here if this had happened to you in the past and I should have be worried by now 🤔
